Question about Pioneer DV-300-K Player
I bought the player last week and didnt have any problems using the usb port with a 8GB stick.
But now i doesnt work anymore.
When i insert the stick, it hardly loads and no files are shown on the screen.
Then i tried to copy the same file to a 2 GB stick, and it works fine.
I also dont have problems using my 8GB stick on my pc
I already tried to reset the player, formatted the USB stick, but the problem stays.
SUMMARY: both sticks are FAT32 and contain the same file, the 2GB works, the 8GB doesnt.
Thx for help
The 8GB is most likely what is called a SDHC or "Secure Digital High Capacity" It will not work in system that do not show they can read the SDHC drives, the 2GB is not SDHC

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Dear friends in problem solving.
My husband actually solved this problem by writing in the browser: Manual for Pioneer DV-410V DVD player.
That was available online and there it said that not all formats was supported by the USB port, so we tried to load a movie on a pen drive, insert it in the player and it opened and we just clicked play, so it was actually an issue of having an incompatible video file on the pen drive that made it not open in the first place.
