I have ZyXEL p660HW-T1 V2 router at home, I bought a new IPod touch 16G and when I try to connect my IPod to my wireless via ZyXEL p660HW-T1 V2 it says unable to join the network, I am sure I am doing everything right, my IPod touch finds my router but when I add the password it says unable to join the network, I tried many times never worked, could you please help me and tell me how can I connect my IPod touch to my router? Regards Basel
Ditto, I can connect at public WI-FI spots, but not at home, even though my network shows up, with a strong signal. Help.
i have linksys WRT54GX router and my ipod touch won't accept my password tho it works in public venues. please advise
You must be sure to what router you are trying to connect. I understand
you have a ZyXel and a linksys. You must have 2 wireless networks. Your
wireless network must be secured, so you just have to use the correct
password. I need more details. Try this http://technicalsupport.blog.friendster.com

delete the existing settings from your ipod and then re connect to ur router ... that should help .. if even that dosent works then u might have to reconfigure your router to resolve the issue
Change the router encryption or create an encryption as WEP using your Zyxel router.
The connection in your college is maybe unsecured or no security?
- Try also to check the settings of your router make that unsecured or configured a WEP encryption to the router. - Turn off the MAC filtering of the router (Under advance settings) - Disable the wifi-protected setup of the router (Under advance settings)
- Refresh the network list before reconnecting to the network.
Note: As we try WEP encryption to some of the router, the IPod can connect to the network.
did you setup a wireless network ? if you didnt go to control panal and then wireless network setup icon and follow instructions (select automatically provide network key option) then follow instructions and finish. once you did that, search through wifi on youf phone it should find your WNetwork and then connect and enjoy. if you want to use internet and have an ADSL modem, make sure that the modem is connected to the internet RJ45 plug on your router. and from router to PC.
i had the same problem too with my'n. My issue was on of my setting's was set to block that wi-fi connection. Try switching your setting for finding internet connection from automatic to manual. that should do the trick!
ok do this if it is already showing your router up on your portable device but it has that security lock and you are unable to join or need a password which u dont know lol go to that network and on the top push forget this network. than go back and click on for other location. than for the name put in your router name usually 5 characters long make sure u use capitalization cuz its case sensitive. than select what kind of key u have it should say right on the side of your wireless router. than type the key in usually a wep key and u should be set to join it if it doesnt auto matically do soo
check and see that you are putting the password in as WEP or WPA, whichever you use for your network.
