Question about iRobot Roomba 4210 Bagless Robotic Vacuum

1 Answer

IRobot Roomba going in circle and quits

My iRobot Roomba bagless vaccuum goes clockwise, then counter clockwise, backs up and repeats the process until it beeps and turns itself off.
I think this is an original model. I have had it 2 years. There is no other name on it. On the bottom is "Contains FCC ID: UFE-R3MOD24A
IC: 6652A-R3MOD24A".
The last time it did this it stopped and said to clean wheels which I did. Then it worked. Once. Now it is doing the same thing but no message when it stops. Wheels are still clean and turn well.
Help Please. I have too much arthritis to push a heavy vaccuum.

You need to turn roomba over, leave the battery in, push the wheels at the same time 15 times. after that, push the front bumper about 15 times. then turn on roomba and press clean.

Roomba going in circles

Roomba going in circles. Called irobot and if reseting it (by taking out the battery, unplugging it from the charger, and holding down the power button for 30 seconds), didn't work, turn the roomba over, take a compressor and blow air into the front. Maybe a shop vac would also work. We cleaned out the whole thing while we were at it. And now it works just fine. The tech person at irobot was very helpful.

If your Roomba's speaker isn't working, you need a new Roomba regardless. Give a call to customer support (877-855-8593) and they'll help you out.

Roomba red 4100 cleans in small circle stops starts agains cleans small circle stops then status light comes on and clean button blinks.

When the status light comes on, the Roomba is going to sing "uh-oh," and then beep a number of times. Count the beeps. They're a code that tells you what's wrong with the Roomba. You can check iRobot's website for a chart of beep codes. Search "What is Roomba saying to me?" on the troubleshooting page.

IRobot Roomba Discovery not moving across room.

I had the same kind of problem with my model 400 today...after starting it and having it go in a circle for 30 seconds or so it would finally run into something and then back up a few inches, turn, then go forward a few inches, then back up a few inches, turn, then go forward a few inches, etc., etc.. I tried cleaning off the four pairs of sensors under the bumper and blowing out various things underneath (by mouth since I didn't have any canned compressed air). It didn't really help. It then occurred to me that I had a leaf blower! I put the Roomba upside down on the grass, put the leaf blower on high, and blew at it from all directions and up close. More dust came out than I thought would. It has been running normally now for the last 45 minutes.
