Xc 600 stalling

Hey i have a xc 600 1998 and yesterday i went for a ride warmed it up left then all of a sudden it stalled. when u pull the cord to start the motor it will do a couple of stroke then die. I managed to start it by playing with the gas. Today i went for another ride and i figure how to keep the motor running i need to stay in high rpm 3000 and above if i get under that it will wanna die and if i give it some gas it backfires like hell. ANY solution would help by the way when i start it when its cold there is no problem

When it stalls, is it on a warmer day? ie 20+ degrees? is it overeheating or hot? If you have never had the carbs serviced, the summer/fall may be a good time. inside the carbs, you have differnt circuits, they may be gummed up. Good luck

Kawasaki 450r

I had a similar problem on one of my bikes. Turned out a "Test Port" had rattled loose between the carb and the intake. I threaded a screw in the hole to prevent the leak and problem was resolved.

Starts stalls

contaminated or water in the fuel is most likely the culprit here.
drain the tank and carb (small screw at bottom of carb float bowl)
Add fresh fuel from a CLEAN fuel source. Best to completely drain your fuel can and fill it up with fresh fuel. That way if the fuel can is the culprit you eliminated doing this twice.
What happened was fuel sits on top of water, this is why the bike would still idle. The idle circuit in the carb pulls fuel from a higher point than the main jet. This is also why when you hit the throttle it would just die, it was sucking most like something other than fuel.

Left side wont pull or turn after warming up

i guess this is a zero turn model ? sounds like your drive motor on left side is worn out , but look for leaks as well on steering valve for that side

Starts but stalls right away

Have you checked your fuel pressure? Could be the fuel pressure regulator. Hard to say without a year and model of the jeep.

Help my xj6 1995 wont start, no lights, everything is dead but it worked perfectly ok yesterday, and I cannot open the boot to check the battery

Sounds like a total battery drain - something left on that you do not know of? Open the boot using manual over-ride (ignition key or cabin pull cord)

Rode for 120 kilometers pulled over and filled gas tank soon after smiled gas. Seemed to run fine. Next day rode for about 50 km but sounded really rough at high speeds around 120km. Pulled over to park in...

I would suspect that the float is sticking. Checking will require removal of (in order): seat, tank, air filter box/backing plate, and finally, the float bowl at the bottom of the carb. Insure that the float is not flooded, and that the float needle is free of trash.
