Hi jgwhomeequip, yes I think they are. I have a Red Green Blue cable hooked, plus I now added the red and white cable, from the TV audio output, into the TV input on my home theater.

  • max_wurgler Feb 08, 2009

that's exactly what I have, I checked again, but the problem is still the same. I have a comcast HD box connected to my tv with an HDMI cable, this works perfect. Maybe I should connect through this box? My tv input is now set to HDMI, and not to regular cable. Could this be a problem

  • max_wurgler Feb 08, 2009

ok, thank you for your help, I will try to connect it through the cable box.

  • max_wurgler Feb 08, 2009

Thank you for your help, I connected everything through the Comcast Box, and it works.

Can I connect my Samsung HD tv directly to a surround sound system that I have just bought

Yes...

They are all standardized interfaces...
You will get the most from your system if you read all the owners support information.

Samsung has their own on board system that can control the volume of both units... and there are audio PROFILES you might enjoy trying out... Some sound better when listening to MUSIC, as opposed to MOVIES... or SPEACH... and are labeled as such...

One of the BETTER SAMSUNG THEATER SOUND UNITS also features an AUX input where we found it convenient to apply the
BLUETOOTH receiver for listening to our FAVORITES on our play lists!!

Pretty cool technology...

Enjoy!!

HI Guys. I just upgraded to DirecTV HD-DVR ( I have aHR24-200) installed which is connected via HDMI to my Samsung HD TV. I have a Samsung HT-C550 Digital Home Theater System which is now directly...

You're correct and that is exactly how I always recommend setup (contrary to what the manuals tell you). It makes no sense to me to run any signal through any electronics or interconnections that neither use it nor improve it. Hence, I have NO SOURCE VIDEO going to or through my receiver and NO high end audio going to my TV (which could just as well be a monitor with NO audio capabilities, right)?

Audio electronics should receive the BEST digital audio directly from it's root source.
The TV should receive the BEST video directly from ITS root source.

THAT is why most all high end A/V gear has separate audio and video in/outputs.

If that means you have to make some switching choices when using different sources, oh well. At least you won't have experience potential degradation from multiple hops or have to troubleshoot problems that could be anywhere in that chain.

Cant get hd sound through home theatre system

Hi,here is my simple solution...
to listen your TV on your
Panasonic Home Theater System
** you need to connect "Audio Output " RCA jacks or "Optic cable output" or "HDMI out "of your TV
** to "AUX input " or "TV" OR "Any input" of your receiver or "Optic Cable input" or "HDMI input"
** than just switch to respective mode on
Panasonic Home Theater System RECEIVER corresponding your RCA or Optic or HDMI connection
.
There you go..Your TV sound is on the
Panasonic Home Theater System Receiver..By this means whatever you watch on the TV (TV tuner, satellite , Xbox ..etc.) ,it's sound will come thru your stereo..

Hope this helps!..if more help requires pls let me know.
Take care and please

The ht-c6600 does not have a headphone jack. I want to listen to games and movies without blowing away the neighbors. How to I connect headphones to this system?

This unit has NO usable audio outputs.

Register and download the manual for free at retrevo.com

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Samsung-HT-C6600-Home-Theater-Systems-manual/id/23703dj296/t/2/

A workaround would be to see if the TV has a headphone output. Or route the TV audio to a PC and use the PC's heaphone output.

How do I connect my DISH, TV and Blu-ray. Right now I have my DISH satelite HD cable connected to the TV, and a HD cable connected from my TV to the Blu-Ray. The problem i'm having is the sorround sound...

hi,
Is there is any optical digital output in your satelite HD. Then connect that optical digital output of satelite HD to the optical digital input of your surround system (blue ray player) using an optical cable.
Then press the function button on the remote of surround sound system (blue ray player) and select D.IN. (D.IN means DIGITAL IN). You will get the audio through the surround sound system. if you need any more assistance fell free to contact me through fixya.
ok

Listen to DTV DVR output on TH-C3

im not familiar with this model. can i assume it is a small home theatre system with limited inputs?
in that case, the best thing to do is to feed all your devices...cable, dvr, dvd, etc....into the tv.(audio and video). then use the audio output of the tv to the input on the receiver. you may have to go into the tv menu and set the audio output to the speakers in the tv to fixed mode for a constant level out to the receiver.
good luck

Need to connect some samsung audio/video components

I'm guessing that you would like all your components to play audio through the HTZ320. In order to get audio from all these components you will need a digital optical cable from the tv optical out to the HTZ320 optical input. And some composit audio cables (red and white) from tv audio out to the HTZ320 aux input. The video and audio from the dish box, bluray, and the vcr are all going to have to go through the tv first and then to the HTZ320. Use HDMI cables to connect the dish box and the bluray to the tv inputs and composit cables (red white and yellow) from the vcr output to the tv input. If you can give the exact model of the tv I can help you sort things out further. I hope this helps you.

Compatibility fo TV and Sound system

TV has audio outputs, the RCA cable type. If you connect the audio output (red, white) from the TV(look on the back), and connect the RCA cable to Input of home theater system, you should get TV sound from home theater system. You may have to set the audio on the TV for external source. Go to menu, to audio setup, to options. On the Home Theater system, you may have to select the audio source, i.e. audio input 1, etc.

I want to connect the Audio from tv to Surrounding audio system

For connections of audio, so that you can hear all tv audio through the
surround system, connect either an optical audio cable or red & white
analog audio cables from the tv to the home theater. If you are using
optical audio, there is a plug on back of tv labeled for digital audio
output and an input on the surround sound system. If you plan on using
analog red and white, use the PROG OUT red and white output jacks on the
back of the tv to the AUX input on the home theater.

For video connections, to get HD you will need to be using either HDMI or
Component cables. HDMI is the cable that will provided 1080p signal (the
best HD signal), but if the source does not output 1080p, then your tv
will not display 1080p. Most cable boxes output at 1080i or 720p when on
HD stations. This signal still provides great picture quality, but HDMI is
not needed to get these HD signals. You can use component cables for your
cable box and the DVD player output to the tv for video. HDMI might give
you a slightly better picture quality but the signal will be the same.

To make the connection, you will want to connect from the cable box to the
tv (component or hdmi). Also from the home theater system to the tv using
hdmi or the video cables from component (red, blue, & green cables).

We hope this information is helpful to you.

Thank You,
Panasonic Consumer
