Can i connect new pc to old connection

You simply need to disconnect old computer from the network and connect the new one.
Are you trying to connect wired computer or wireless?

If you are trying to connect a wired computer then you don't need to do anything.
Just take out the Ethernet cable from the old computer and connect it to the new computer.

If you are connecting a wireless computer to the network then make sure that you have all the settings of your wireless router.
If your wireless network is secured then you should know the correct network key.
What is the operating system on your computer?

I will suggest you a website " The Router Setup " which may help you connect your new computer to the old wireless network.

I can not get my wireless router to find my or take my ip address

Hi,
Your wireless router once you connect to it will give out an IP. You can only setup in the router software what your machines MAC address and preset it to be given an IP of your choice.

So in short your wireless computer should find the wireless router via.. SSID and its password then once authenticated your machine will be given and IP and gateway to access your network.
If you are having trouble connecting to the wireless router. Then I suggest connecting to it via the wire first make the needed adjustments and then retry the wireless connectivity.
this link will bring you to the manual for your router http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=DIR-615&tab=3

hope this helps

Get no signal from router

There are many network-related settings that need to be configured on the system for connecting to a wireless network. If even one of these settings have not been configured properly, issues will come up. All users facing problems with the use of wireless networks are advised to check network-related settings such as access points, IP address in use and reconfigure them if they are not properly set. Users are also suggested to check the firewall settings to make sure that the firewall is not blocking network connections.

My router is connecting to the network and broardcasting the internal netowrk but not broardcasting any internet. The internet connection work fine if i plug the wire straight into my computer.

To connect to the router using a wireless connection, the computer's wireless card needs to be configured with the router's wireless settings, ie. SSID and encryption key.
The encryption key is configured in the router's wireless settings.
I suggest you use WPA or WPA2 encryption because it is the latest and provides stronger protection.

To change or see the encryption key and/or secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-

Connecting sharp AR 5316 to a wireless network for office use

With great difficulty.... Seriously though, you MUST get the driver for each operating system, Install each Driver on each machine, and then simply connect each computer to the printer as a "Networked" printer. I may be efficacious, to have all drivers on every PC, all in same Directory so that each is available to each other...Right ALL machines, must be in same WORKGROUP, ALL have a password, The printer MUST have a name, Install the drivers as Administrator.

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 w/ window xp. I show my wireless connection on the signal is excellent but when i click internet explorer its says its connect to internet - i dont have working offline clicked...

Try connecting to another wireless connection... if it connects to another connection and you get to the internet, then it is something with your wireless router or modem. Your PC can "see" a wireless connection, so it is NOT PC hardware.

It sounds like you can connect to the router, but cannot go through the router to get to the internet. Probably a simple issue with your modem or router. Try power cycling the modem, and power cycling the router. Then restart your PC and try connecting again.

If all that fails, try installing Mozilla Firefox and see if that will get out to the internet. It may be a problem with Internet Explorer.

Connecting with internet

Yes, that is possible since you have a wireless router. Router can share internet connection. Go to this link this will help you setup the wireless connection (secure it if you want)

http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/wireless/Dlink/DI-524/wireless.htm then on the very bottom there is an option how to Configure Windows XP to connect to your wireless network.

I suggest this because it would be better if there is encryption on the network so people wont be able to access your internet for free (unless you give them the security key)
