Peace be upon you. I have a laptop an HP Pavilion dv6000 to be exact. I am using a OLD SD TV for my PS3 and the graphics is terrible! So I wondered if I can use my laptop! I can see vedios at 540p with my laptop. I wish I have an HD TV but my parents say NO! I can't force them! Please I need a careful and easy explainations! BE AWARE! I live in Kuwait, and I don't know much about wires! So please be very easy on me! Like teaching a baby how to walk, requires care and with out complex things!

ok ..I dont know exactly the problem that you have ...but I am link-ing you to the site where you will find all drivers for your model ... so ..if you are running windows vista ....just go to control panel and uninstall the driver from remove programs .... then you either install the new driver ...and after that run the wizard from add new hardware ...or it will prompt you for a driver after you uninstall the old one ...I dont know if its a build in or not web cam ...anyway the procedure is the same ...you will be also be prompt for restart pav dv6000 drivers

Did you 'turn off' the AUTOPLAY feature of the CD\DVD ? When the player "runs two times at startup", it is trying to find the program on the disc.2nd- Look in internet for HP dv6000 cd\dvd drive replacement.(If that is the ""exact match for the product"" you wrote about) 3rd.goto CONTROL PANEL>SYSTEM>HARDWARE>DEVICE MANAGER and look up cd\dvd and uninstall it. REBOOT, when your system comes back it will try to find the cd\dvd. If it does not, it is damaged (kaput!), must be replaced. If Windows finds the cd\dvd drive and reinstalls the drivers, but it does not work, then the heads are dirty or damaged. That Windows found the dvd\cd means that the circuit on the device works.
Do you have a HDMI jack on your TV? it looks just like the blue/graphics/monitor jack on your laptop. If so use it to connect and you should be able to use your tv as a monitor. (if you tv came with the HDMI cable?, if not you can purchase one ez enough from Radio Shack)
Check your users manual for directions on how to use the remote to get it to that function. My Hansphree TV I have to put it on AUX to use my laptop hooked to it and see my TV as my lappy monitor.
Right click the power icon in the system tray (should look like a little plug with a lightning bolt on it.) Click on "adjust power properties." Click on the "advanced" tab, then where it says, "When I close the lid of my portable computer," select "Do Nothing."
