My frigidaire side by side does not make ice or dispense water

From the information you have provided the water dispenser on your Frigidaire refrigerator is not dispensing. Have you recently changed your water filter? If you water filter has not been changed and is dirty or clogged it could lead to potential failure of your water dispenser. If the filter has been changed it could be a faulty dispenser. I understand that your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# FRS26R4A, is not making ice. There are a couple of things you can check. First, check the wire signal arm to make sure it is in the "down" or ON position. The ice maker turns off automatically when the ice container becomes full. To stop the ice maker, lift the wire signal arm until it clicks, and locks in the "up" or OFF position. Second, check to see if the water dispenser is dispensing. You might need to change your water filter. It's recommended you change it every 6-8 months. The other thing if your appliance is not dispensing water is there might be a kink in the hose or maybe the water supply has been cut off. Hope this has been helpful.

At the back cover of the fridge you will find a double electric valve. The easy way to find valve is to follow water supply tube to your fridge
Unplug fridge and check with multimeter if one of the coils burned out and should be replaced. Make sure you close water shut off valve before removing solenoid. Good luck

check the water line fron filter that continues on to water dispfrom icemaker, also a bad water disp solenoid or no pwr to water valve disp solenoid could be a problem,when you try to disp water can you hear a click from the solenoid operating to let water out?

As you open the freezer door you will se a wire on the side of the ice maker. It is there to stop the machine from making ice like a float in the toilet. It may have been bumped move it up or down until it clicks. it should go to work making ice now if not the valve in the back of the frig is pluged or bad. If you do not have a water filter it is pluged. The filter is cheep and easy to replace so I would turn the water off to it and replace the filter any way most are neglected.

Try changing the filter; our refrigerator did the same thing.

ONLY TWO POSSIBILITIES I CAN THINK OF IF ITS NEW COULD BE FREEZING IN THE DOOR LINER
IF NOT PROBOBLY NEEDS A NEW VALVE

My unit is only 2 years old.  It was bought Spring 2006.  

check to make sure the fill tube is not plugged with ice if it is not then i would guess the valve is shot

open ice maker cover buy pass T_H will move if still water not come in ice maker change fill valve
