i believe this has to do with the antivirus not accepting the "printserver utilities". namely, some antiviruses in my case McAffee confuse the pslog file created by the "printserver utilities " (in my case the ones for a Canyon router) with some virus with the same name. updating the utilities (mentioned by someone else with the sameproblem) did replaced the "bad name" as the software producers changed the name of the file in the new version. but not in my case. so i still don't know what to do. maybe installing the utilities in a different drive than the system drive would fix the problem, maybe the antivirus allows me eventually to use the filename. i'll try later, now i can live with clicking 7 times ok.

I experienced the same problem after I had installed the supporting software for the Hawking HPS12U print server. I uninstalled that software; then downloaded and installed the updated version. That eliminated the problem.
