Question about Hannspree (K206-10U1-005) Television
My dear husband knocked over the TV stand and the Samsung TTB 1320 went down. It turns on and sounds great, but there is no picture, so I'm guessing (I know nothing about TVs) that the picture tube broke. Is it replaceable? Is it worth it? Is there anything else I should check first?
Any advice would be appreciated. It is an older TV (10 years) so I'm thinking it might be fixable (as opposed to most of the throwaway stuff one buys these days...).
Toss it Even if the tube is not broke chances are it will cost to much to repair and chances are even greater the metal part of the tube, (called the shadow mask) is warped and you will never get good color on it again I have been in the tv service business for 40 years and have not replaced picture tube for the last five years.
