Strange smell coming out of Maytag Neptune MAH8700AWW

For the past couple of month I have noticed a strange smell coming out of
my washing machine.That happening whenever I opened my washing machines drum's door before I place my close in. I just wonder of anyone has a similar problem and what is the possible solution for resolving that issue.Thank you in advance to all who replied.

I am assuming that the smell is mold that is what happens in these units, the door gets closed and they capture the moisture inside and it molds around the door and in the dispenser, you have to run about 1 cup of bleach a month in them to keep them clean and in the dispenser you have to spray them with pure bleach with a spray bottle and take tooth brush and scrub the top to remove mold or it will take over. make sure their are no clothes in waher whenn you run this cycle.
this should solve this problem,

Open your washing machine (see on youtube how) and see if there is a module looking like this. First unplug the machine to avoid that burning smell when flesh is subjected to high voltage. The unit is easy to replace.

Maytag neptune MAH8700AWW washer will not complete the spin cycle. It spins both directions but never goes past 6 minutes on the display. Eventually you get the "DC" error. It does this with or without...
If the clutch fails the first thing noticed is a UC or DC error displayed and there is no drain or spin.

If you are seeing the above error and having a problem with spin and drain then the most likely cause of this is the clutch. The clutch fails to lock down the spinners and the basket is unable to go into spin and without a 90 RPM there is no drain.

Replace the clutch.

It probably mean the spin brake has failed. If everything else is functioning OK and it is not making anymore strange noises it will be OK however when you open the lid(during spin) if it takes more than 10 seconds to stop then the brake should be replaced. Strange growling sounds on rinse and spin cycle
I would check the motor control board located near the floor on the right side for burnt components. The motor is a 3 phase unit and if one of the phases are working the motor will growl and won't be able to supply the proper torque.
