You may only be able to do this if the thermostat is not bad or the compressor is not leaking fluid

Oil getting into radiator/cooling system?

Hi Alan, If your vehicle has been overheated at any time, the cylinder head may have become distorted and consequently coolant may be mixing with oil if the gasket is damaged and failing to seal correctly. The job requires the removal of the cylinder head and taking it to a machining company to skim it before replacing. You were quite correct to have checked the oil cooler if it is the type which fits into the engine block and uses the engine coolant for cooling. Oil in the cooling system is not something which should be ignored. Once the problem has been solved and rectified, flush the cooling system to remove all oil deposits and then use the correct mixture of coolant to water. Regards John

HH error code? on magic chef mcbc580dbt

I, too, have just seen (late June 2013) the "HH" code on my Magic Chef wine cooler (and it is running too cold and I can't reset the temperature). Have you found a solution since your posting of about 1 year ago?

Master cool not cooling. Outside air is dry and temp between 100 and 108. Fan working, water pump working. Water pan is full. Water flowing to top of padPad gets wet but only lightly. Air from cooler...

I would bet that the problem lies in what you said about the pad. It needs to be well-soaked for the evaporative effect of the unit to do its job.

You give no model, but if you disassemble the unit (only the top panel) at the water distribution tube and expose it you can see what's going on. Water flow will be minimal.

The tube disconnects from the water supply tube at one end.

Disconnect it and, carefully since it's plastic, clear debris out of the distributor.

If it's like mine, it will have a fair amount of scale built-up in it. Once clear, re-assemble and start the unit.

We have an older swamp cooler and need to have some windows in our home open to get best cooling. Does a mastercool need to have some windows open in our home to give max cooling?

The solution is to install "up ducts" These devices are easy to install and are fairly cheap. With a swamp cooler the best way to use them is to allow them to draft outside with the "up duct" you get the drafting to the outside but also get to remove attic heat too.

Qets way too hot - i have turned the dial all the way to cool and "stand by" not sure what that is but its not getting any cooler? We bought it used and have limited info on it, the reference card says...

This would indicate that the heater relay is stuck in the closed posistion giving constant power to the heating element.
Either that or thermostat dial is broken

Coleman Electric Cooler doesn't stay cold

the most common problem is that one or both cooling fans has failed. If you have the newer version, you can get replacement fans anywhere computer parts are sold

I have a 97 Lincoln Continental. I am trying to replace the cooling fan. I have the shroud loose but can't figure out how to get out. Any help would helpful. Thanks

YOU NEED TO TAKE IT OUT FROM THE BOTTOM REMOVE PLASTIC SHROUD THEN DRIAN AND PULL LOWER RADIATOR HOSE FROM RADIATOR AND THE REST IS PRETTY SELF EXPLANATORY MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE CLIPS FOR THE WIRRING BEFORE YOU EVEN START
