Problem for Canon i950 InkJet Photo Printer
Waste ink tank almost full i950 printer
The printer does turn on, but when calibrating the ink cartidges, it makes a hick-up sound and lights go off. The green light does flash about 8 times, but after this nothing happens. My PC thinks the printer is off-line.

- That may reset the counter, but I do not believe it solves the problem. According to other posts on this subject, the "waste ink absorbers" are getting to their "full to capacity" limit. Posters have included a lengthy process to remove the stored waste ink, and it involves disassembling the printer to "get at" the pads. If the storage limit is reached, I think the printer will stop working and/or ink will begin leaking from the printer after a print-head cleaning process.- chelovek_99Best Solution

For resetting the waste ink counter---
pressresume button 3 times - light color will change to orange- It will Reset waste ink counter.

For resetting the waste ink counter---
- Start with the printer OFF
- Hold down RESUME and then hold down POWER
- release RESUME
- press RESUME twice, then release POWER
- Let green light blink until printer is done futzing
pressresume button 3 times - light color will change to orange- It will Reset waste ink counter.
