I have been trying to repair my dryer from information on this site.Last week the dryer shut off after about 10 minutes of run 2 times then next time would not start at all. I took it apart and found a huge ball of debris at the squirrel cage(?) and replaced thermal and high heat fuses (kit) and the dryer run great yesterday for 2 loads then today has quit again after 10 mins. of drying. Check list:
clear vent pipe
dryer clean of lint
blower wheel tight
drum turns freely
fuse tight against heater.
Wires not shorted on high limit mounted above heater
electric bill paid.

It is fairly easy to replace the motor. The biggest problem is with the price of the motor.
why such a low rating?
Look at the big 250 degree limit that mounts on top of the element.Make sure vibration could not make the wires short to the cabinet.

The larger fuse, high limit, is still good but thermal fuse blown again.
All wires appear intact. All venting is clean. Drum turns by hand freely. Breaker is not tripped. Because it has run and quit after approx. 10 mins. both times I suspected either heating coils or motor were overheating?
The dryer is about 9 years old. Is it difficult to replace a motor?
When this happens, does the breaker at the panel trip? If oyu have checked all the above that the other gentleman has suggested, the breaker itself may be weak and cannot handle the load now.
Ok, then that is telling me that there is a short in the wiring somewhere. You need to take a really close dedicated look at all the wiring around the high limit and the thermal. Also make sure that there is no clogs anywhere in the dryer itself.
Have you checked everything that you have changed already? Make sure that they have not popped again? Sounds like a possibilty of a short somewhere
