You need to install Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 Service Pack 2 from MS web site: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5783 Steps: 1. Download installation package from above link and save them to the desktop or other folder 2. Start that .exe and unpack to some folder on your PC (or that same folder)3. Open that folder and run BOTH installations for Windoxs x64 PC - first start: SSCERuntime_x86-ENU.msi and then SSCERuntime_x64-ENU.msi 4. This would install necessary SW and then you could re-insert Neat CD to start the installation which would proceed now.
Step 1. Install Microtek ScanWizard 5
Install the ScanWizard 5 scanner driver (included in your Microtek CD-ROM) as instructed in the Installing and Getting Started booklet(a separate document that came with your scanner package).
For ScanWizard 5 to work properly after installation, the correct scanner model should be properly connected to your host beforehand and it needs to be "powered on" before launching the software.
If you scan the document, make sure it is saved in JPEG format. What
you do afterwards is to download FreeOCR. This program is free and
works better than most of the ones you purchase.
Just install it in 5 minutes, open your scanned jpeg image and click on
OCR button and in seconds, the program will bring it up in editable
format for you to change, correct or whatever. Or just click on the OCR
MS Word button, and it will open it up in Microsoft Word. Here is the
*be sure all your "Windows Updates" are up to date.
Once installed I had to go to the default directory C:\VistaScan to find the .exe file. The software booted right up! But, it said the device was not on. I simply pulled the USB out and put it back in and it worked perfectly.
I imagine you might have to start up vista scan and pull the USB cord in and out every time you reboot your machine, which is kinda a cheap work around. However, it is a way to "give it to the man"!! and I like that idea ;)
OK ya must be trying to install into Vista? anyway whats happening is ya NOT using Admin mode... and that DLL isn't being allowed to be put in the system32 dir... so disable UAC open admin prompt and find it, & copy .. so after ya install find the DLL on the install media .. then copy and paste it to ya windows\system32\ dir.. register it if reqiured should be all good.
Better still install properly with admin rights and such. GL
absolutely not, (MS) it could be for many reasons like incompatible drivers, incompatible OS, mind you if you can double check the right OS platform you have downloaded and the right bit as well, (32 or 64), XP or Vista, can you double check pls, these are some reson why it become too slow
you might want to check on uninstalling this again
