Question about Logitech Cordless Mouse

CE 0560 Logiech went dead, batteries are ok, just stopped working

It is probably 5 years old or more. I reinstalled the software and that didn't work.

By now you've got your problem fixed or you've bought a new mouse, but I had the exact same thing today. I tried everything you did, then I found a crazy solution that suddenly worked. I haven't a clue know whether it'll work for anyone else, but here it is:

When "connecting" the cordless mouse to the transmission unit (ie, enabling them to work together) you go ahead and first press the "Connect" button on the transmitter first. (I'm sure everybody knows that.) But the trick for me was that when I then pushed the small white connect button on the bottom of the mouse, I finally used a ballpoint pen (retracted) to make that white button really engage. That did it for me. My finger was just too soft to make that little white button on the mouse engage properly. The second I pressed firmly with the pen, hallelujah!, it worked.

I hope that works for you. Cheers!

I own a Logiech wireless keyboard & mouse combo (Model No. MK 250). The keyboard works fine. the mouse has a red light and just stops working abruptly. I have tried another wireless mouse and it works...

Try resyncing the mouse, especially if you just replaced the batteries. Press the sync button on the receiver and then the one on the bottom of the mouse.

Saitek Eclipse Keyboard Keys stopped working

this could very well be your OS as much as your keyboard. Try another board for a few days and see if it still happens. IF not...you found your culprit. Replace the keyboard or look for updated drivers if they exist.

Had nothing to do with the reinstall of XP. Just put in new batteries. Guess it was just a coincidence that the batteries went dead (low) at the time I redid XP.

Ce 0560 not consistent an hangs in one spot

Hello 1tomterrific,

First, make sure you have the latest drivers for your keyboard for your OS. You can download the latest version HERE. If the driver you have already is the latest version, try reinstalling the driver again. This usually helps.
Next, try to stay within 4ft. of the receiver, as this is the maximum range for Logitech cordless products.
Lastly, try to reconnect the receiver and keyboard again. Hold the connect button on receiver for about 10seconds to reset the channels. Now press connect button on k/b. Wait about 5 minutes and press connect on the receiver and connect on the mouse to activate the mouse as well.

Hope this helps...Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here.

Microsoft wireless keyboard stopped working (mouse still works)

I have been fighting this same problem for about 5 months.

I have the Wireless Optical Desktop 3.0 (Wireless Comfort Keyboard & Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0). Three or four times a week it stops working at random intervals. The driver DLLs simply disappear. I can see this by going to Control Panel -> Keyboard Properties -> Hardware -> Properties -> Driver -> Driver Details. The two dll files are there when it works and the dll files are gone when it stops, gone, no drivers at all. An old PS2 will still work in a pinch.

I wonder if the problem may be caused by my Windows Live OneCare or by a Windows Update that keeps reinstalling itself and failing. Alternatively, could it be that some malware is trying to gain control of the PC?

Reinstalling the software & rebooting fixes the problem --for about a day.

i don't like the sound of you taking the hard drive out of a old computer and loading it in your new one without reinstalling windows especially with windows XP your choice i guess.

Did you try and couple the keyboard and receiver by pressing and holding the button on the keyboard for a while?

Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Mouse Receiver from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the Mouse Receiver to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud
