Question about Tefal Irons
I am houesitting and am completely stumped by a steam iron. there is no place for water in the iron, but instead in a separate box that is attached to the iron with a hose. I cannot see a way to open the box or to pour water in.
This type of iron is called a steam station iron.
The box is the water tank and it is this that you need to fill with water. You should be able to find a small spout on the water tank in order to fill it. These irons produce a huge amount of steam and should make the ironing a breeze once you get used to it.
