Something is likely broken in the dispenser.

This is how most dispensers are accessed.

Check for screws around or on the under side of the dispenser trim that can be removed to get the trim off. Sometimes the drip tray in the base of the dispenser needs to be removed to access the screws. Sometimes the top panel (touchpad) of the dispenser is removed to access the dispenser components.

If there are no screws, use a putty knife with the end wrapped with tape so the paint on the door panel is not scratched.

Start at the bottom of the trim and CAREFULLY pry the trim away from the door panel.

There may be small slots in the panel on the under side that the putty knife can be inserted into.

With the trim off, the dispenser components can be serviced.

Whirlpool ice dispenser not working

It could be clogged. Without more info its rather hard to answer. Depending on where you water comes in, the line could be kinked or it could be loose. If no water leaking probably not loose. More commonly the line going from refrigerator to water coming into it is kinked or the line is clogged. Could also be clogged where ice comes out, especially if you are getting water but no ice. Then empty all the ice from the holding box, then clean any ice off that has built up around the ice lever area. Hope this help, Anthony

Whirlpool Gold GD5RHAXNQ00 refrigerator not cooling properly.

It takes time for the temp to adjust(up to 24hrs) If the door is open a lot(looking into the box) or the door gasket is bad this will contribute to your problem. Are you sure the thermometer is good that you are checking the machine with. The thermistor could be bad as well(the control that senses the actual temp

Water dispenses without pushing lever

There is a solinoid valve that opens when you push the switch in. It has apparently failed and is leaking. Sometimes taking it apart and cleaning it will fix the problem.

External water dispenser on Whirlpool Conquest model GS6SHAXKS01

Try this first. In the inlet side( where the little water line comes in) there is a small screen where the water is hooked up. Shut off the water and unhook the water line. there should be a small screen to keep out particles from entering your ice make/ water dispenser. See if that screen is plugged. If so clean the screen. you can put it in vinager over night if you want. It will help clean it.

Water Dispensing System

Check that the dispenser is not locked. Some models have a lock feature that deactivates the dispenser levers and control buttons. The lock button is on the dispenser front cover. This feature controls unintentional dispensing during cleaning. Press the "Unlock" or "Locked" button to reactivate the dispenser levers and allow dispenser function. You may need to hold the button for 2 to 3 seconds.
