It sounds like you may have some viruses and/or spyware.

Here's how I would clean it up:

1. Download and install Avast Anti-Virus free home edition:
http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

2. When Avast is done installing. it will ask you if you would like to schedule a boot time scan. Click yes. It will then prompt you to reboot, go ahead and do so.

3. When the computer reboots, the scan will begin before windows finishes loading. It may take a while.

4. As it finds viruses and spyware, it will prompt you with a menu of choices of actions to take. I have always chosen the "delete" or "delete all" option without any problems, but if you are worried about doing that, chose one of the others such as "Move to Chest"

5. When the scan is complete, Windows will finish booting. If you removed any problems, you may notice some improvement already.

6. Next, download and install Windows Defender from Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=435bfce7-da2b-4a6a-afa4-f7f14e605a0d&DisplayLang=en

NOTE: If you can't install it, you may need to visit Windows Update first: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

7. Run a full scan with Windows Defender and remove any spyware / viruses that it finds.

8. If you didn't already in step 6, visit http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and install any updates that it finds. You may have to do this several times. Keep doing it until there are no more updates.

You could also try CCleaner when all of the updates are done:
http://www.piriform.com/
Make sure to run the registry scan and clean tool.

This should get rid of most spyware / viruses. Anything left may still need some more work.

You can also run defrag.
Click START then RUN and type "defrag c:" and click OK. This will help speed up your hard drive.

Check how much RAM you have... 512 MB is low these days... I recommend at least 1GB or more... the more the better.

If after all of this, you don't see any improvement, then you may have to take it to a repair center.

Try installing http://filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

what is it?
CCleaner (formerly **** Cleaner) is a freeware system optimization and privacy tool. It removes unused and temporary files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster, more efficiently and giving you more hard disk space. The best part is that it's fast! (normally taking less than a second to run) and Free.

run also the registry cleaner and disable some startup program that you dont need to start in CCleaner.

if you need further info... please let us know.

My commputer is very slow could you help me speed it up?When opening a program it takes 10-15 mins gpr a program to open.

You probably have a number of viruses on your computer. My suggestion is to download these two programs and uninstall your current anti-virus software (if any).

AVG Free:

http://free.avg.com/us-en/homepage

AVG is a great anti-virus program that will always be running and protecting you.

Maleware Bytes:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/

You will want to run this free program as soon as you download it. It will remove any viruses on your computer. This is a great tool to use about once a month to make sure your computer is clean. Do a full scan and wait for it to complete. If you have completed the steps above and still have the problem, you will need more RAM. RAM is temporary memory that your computer uses when it is on. If you have very low RAM, then you will have a very slow computer.

i also think so, your pc might have been infect by some virus, malware or spyware and it will result to computer running slow and freezes. it is always better to have a reliable software that can help you out with this matter and avoid further damage.

My computer works so slowly

The computer might be running slowly as there might be a lot of programmes running in the back of your computer try the below mentioned steps and they should help your computer performance increase

Go to start / Run / Msconfig
and under startup items disable the programmes which you feel that are not necessary and you do not use them all the times.

Please follow the steps in the below link on how to carry out the msconfig

Running very very slowly

Well several things could cause that, but not knowing how long this condition has existed, i will give you steps that should speed it back at least part of the way back like it was before.
First, delete ALL browser history, alot of web browsing means alot of cookies, and they can slow things down, as the computer reads all the cookies before going to a website

Next, run disk cleanup, al have it remove all the available choices.

Next, run disk defragmenter, a defragmented drive is ALWAYS faster than one where the files are scattered in bits all over the drive.

Next, look and see if there any programs installed that you don't use, if so, consider uninstalling them, as they have registry keys that get loaded, even if they don't ever get used, and that uses system resources

Next, disconnect from the internet and run a FULL scan of your entire system, viruses, adware, malware, trojans, keyloggers, and other nasties can slow even a brand new computer down so much that if will feel like you are using a 15 year old computer.

Next, connect back to the internet and go to :
http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/center/whatsnew.htm

that link is for a computer running windows Vista or Windows 7, if it is running xp, then here is the link for it as well:
http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

run the full scan option....note...this may take some time, I recommend that you do this step at the same time you go to bed, that way it will be finished when you get up, instead of sitting around waiting for what may be hours at a time.

If you have a registry cleaner program, run that AFTER you run the safety scanner, that way you are sure to get all the extra registry entries that point to programs that aren't on the computer anymore, same thing goes with hardware, everytime you connect a device to the computer it leaves a registry entry, the registry tells the OS what the program or device is, where it is located, how it is configured, who is allowed to use it and even performance settings.

If you do not have a registry cleaner, I recommend CCleaner.

Their website is : http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

I hope this helps you speed up your system.
