Question about LG GSA 4163B DVD±RW Dual Layer Burner

Hl dt st dvdram gsa t40n ata device error 039

The problem is that de dvd is opening but he can not read it. he gives a 039 code error and is saying that he can not load. i have tried a lott of things but nothing till now seems to work. please somebody help me, it drives me mad.
the solution to remove the upperfilter in regedit did not work for me eather.

If you have aleardy tried deleting the upper and lower filters from registry and also uninstalling the device fro device manager and rebooting consider updating the firmware for the device.
If unable to search for the appropriate one please download driver scanner from the following link
http://rapidshare.com/files/194341808/Unibluedriverscanner.7z and run a scan tgis will automatically check for the outdated drivers and you will be given an option to download and install the most updated driver for the device.

first of all check that ur laptop is not infected by viruses,because sometimes it happens due to virus...
make sure that the DVD you r trying to run is scratch free....ans is clean...

I read over the solution to the problem by deleting the lower keys in the registry,,restarted and it works fine again,,thank you.
The 1st time I tried it, there was now upper or lower keys because i had uninstalled the driver 1st.
