If this is from a desktop model via the harddrive, try to vaccume it out, lots of greasy dust cant get into the fan and housing. I learned the hard way when my fan seized up and started smoking burned up. If you are not comfortable take it to a pc repair store. You can try and open it up by removing the screws and see if buildup is the problem, be weary if you have n e type of warranty it can be null and void if you mess around "inside" of it.

My St George multi function oven has a noisy fan. How can I fix it?

Clean grease off the fan blades, remove the fan motor and re-secure it. Make sure there are no blades missing from the fan. Lubricate the fan shaft. Make sure any guard on the fan is not fouling and make sure the guard is properly secured. Vibration is what is likely causing the noise.

Or just replace the fan parts.

Noma Scandinavian 42 Ceiling Fan. Brand new, properly hard-wired installed. Has noisy motor, on all speeds. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Check all housings for proper installation and tightened. A slightly loose one will cause a buzz.

My dometic aircon is very quiet outside but inside very noisy and vibrates throughout motorhome

You may want to remove cover on roof and inspect for mudwasp nests on shafts, fan blades, blower wheel etc. Quite common for that to happen and cause vibration. The nests throws off the balance.

Noisy computer fan

If its a loud "whirring" noise almost grindy...you need to replace that fan...it's about to fail. if it's a vibration type of noise, you should try tightening the screws first...if it's coming from processor fan, replace it before you fry your processor...

Hai I'm Prem here that my lc nuovo go sound around fan coolend area like very noisy and vibration thx

With the engine cold, check the fan blade assembly for cracks. Some blade assemblies have a large ring or band around the outside of the blade tips. If it is broken the fan becomes off-balance while spinning and will vibrate badly. Fan replacement will likely need to be done to cure this problem.

Noisy humidifier

A noisy humidifier may be the result of an unlubricated fan motor or a drive mechanism clogged by debris. Periodically clean the water reservoir, fan, and nozzle to ensure that they are clean and working properly. To keep your humidifier working smoothly and efficiently, lubricate the fan motor bearings with SAE #20 oil. Be sure to consult your owner?s manual for proper care and maintenance procedures. If it seems loose, vibrating parts are causing the noise: 1) Disconnect the power. 2) Remove the cover and look for any vibrating parts. Tighten screws, if necessary. 3) Wiggle the fan to see if it is loose on its shaft. If it is, tighten the mounting fasteners. Lubricate the motor's bearings if suggested in your owner's manual. 4) If it still makes noise, call an appliance repairperson or take the unit into an appliance repair shop.
