View Voice Mail setup in you manual. Manuals are available online for read or download. Some VMail functions are Carrier specific. Look at info carrier included with your phone, or access your Vmail and you will hear an option for Vmail Setup. If these two steps don't work, call your carrier. This does sound like a carrier thing,

A caution regarding Hard Reseting your phone, this is a last resort to solving phone problems because a Hard Reset, as opposed to a Soft power off/on Reset, will default(set) your phone back to the state you received it from the mfg/carrier. ANYTHING you put/personalized on the phone is ERASED. This includes apps/settings/files/messages etc etc. Even if you have backedup your phone with a third party app, sometimes you will find your backup's won't work, or are a pain, to get your phone back to where it was when you did a Hard Reset. In addition, a Hard Reset is rarely your problem. It is usually a phone Setting, a phone Carrier,or defective phone(in which case it is worth trying a Hard Reset).

On the uniden TRU9466 is there any way to increase the number of rings before it goes into voicemail?

The TRU9466 isn't an answering machine. The number of rings is controlled by whatever answering machine or voicemail system you have on your phone line. Please refer to the documentation for the answering machine or voicemail system to change the ring count.

If you need further assistance, please reply to this post and specify the answering machine or voicemail system.

How to increase ring duration

First of all you need to know the number you dial for voicemail. Make a note of this.
Then, go to the dialpad and dial:
*#61#
and press Call.
A box will popup telling you what the redirect to voicemail delay is. On my handset the default was 15 seconds.
Now, dial:
**61******SECS#
and press Call
where *** is your voicemail number and SECS is the number of seconds you want it to ring for before diverting. For example, on Vodafone UK the voicemail number is 121 so to set the ring for 30 seconds before diverting, dial:
**61*121**30#
Once the box has come up saying it was successful you can use *#61# again to check the setting.

How do i change the number of rings before voicemail picks up on a samsung rugby

For all of you that want a real answer here ya go. This isn't something you can change on your phone this has to be changed with your service provider. If you are with AT&T, like I am, then this is the solution for you (link of where I found it below as well). 1. enter *#61*11# and press send/talk on your phone.
2. write down the number your calls are currently forwarded to (usually +1401#######, but not always). this is your voicemail deposit number.
3. decide how long you want the phone to ring in 5 second intervals. the maximum time is 30 seconds. i'd recommend 25 seconds or less, as using 30 may cause you to be billed for a minute of airtime each time someone is forwarded to voicemail.
4. now enter **61*[number from step 2]*11*[number from step 3, use 2 digits]# and press send/talk.

example
voicemail deposit number is +14015551212
you want it to ring for 20 seconds
you would enter **61*+14015551212*11*20# and press send/talk.

if you have trouble with the above procedure, you can always call customer care at 800-331-0500 to change it.
OR QUESTION: How can I adjust the number of times my wireless phone will ring before the caller goes to voicemail? ANSWER: Contact Customer Care at 1-800-331-0500 or dial 611 from your wireless phone to change the amount of time your phone will ring before going to voice mail. The adjustments made by Customer Care are based on the traditional ring heard by the caller, not the unique Ringtone you hear from your phone. I just wanted to add that increasing the ring length to 30 seconds will not cause you to be charged a minute should the caller go to voicemail. This was confirmed by an AT&T technician.

Sounds like you need to set the call forward no answer to the VM pilot DN for the set with the new mailbox.

Trouble with call forwarding to our multiple lines & voicemail

It's not and they're idiots. The hunt sequence you describe CF-No answer is part of their arrangement, probably Centrex/Centranet.

This is one of the sloppiest setups they can possibly give you, but it relates to destinations for CF busy and CF no answer. Get someone who has a clue and tell them to adjust the time on the No Answer part, or, better yet, give you something that really works.

Voicemail

It sounds like you are using a voicemail service from a provider, meaning you did not buy the voicemail system with the phone system. If you confirm, I can tell you how to fix this.
