You need to use recovery software.  There are some free solutions but since I don't know what o/s or iPod you have I'll just post an easy to use commercial application that works for both Mac and Windows.

I have no affiliation with the company, just have used their product a couple times.  It's a little quirky and your music might not be so orderly when it comes off, but it will get your music back.

My computer crashed. I dowloaded itunes to new one but it won't let me sync the songs I didn't purchase from itunes on my nano.

iTunes will let you transfer your purchased songs from your iPod to your new iTunes as detailed here
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848

For the rest of your iPod music, you will need to use a program like TouchCopy to copy your iPod content onto your computer or straight to your new iTunes. TouchCopy lets you copy all your music, video, photos, contacts, notes, calendars, games and more from your iPod.

To copy your iPod music using TouchCopy, you will need to...
1. Download and install TouchCopy on your computer. TouchCopy works with all iPod types and the iPhone. There are free PC and Mac downloads available from here
http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/touchcopy/

2. Ensure that iTunes is closed before connecting your iPod. Then start TouchCopy and connect your iPod. TouchCopy will have fixed your iTunes preferences so that iTunes will not sync music or video with your iPod while TouchCopy is running. These changes are restored when you quit TouchCopy.

3. Use TouchCopy to copy all your iPod content to your computer hard drive or straight into iTunes.

4. You can then use iTunes to re-sync your iPod, which will re-load your iPod with all your music and let you add new content to it too.

How do I load new music

Download and install iTunes. Purchase songs from the iTunes store, or add existing songs on your computer's disk to iTunes. Connect your iPod to your computer, then when your iPod is displayed in iTunes, click on it and then on the "Sync" button.

8GB iPod Touch Disabled

you will have to restore your ipod to factory default settings in itunes.
or you can jailbreak the ipod with software like quickpwn.

Here is how to restore your ipod in itunes.
You will need to put the itouch in DFU/Recovery mode to get it to connect.

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} Plug the usb cable into the Ipod and NOT into the computer.
Hold the Home Button down for 5 second (do not release it)
Then Press and hold the Power Button for approx 10 secs (count them out)
Your iPod will reboot.
Release the power button and continue holding the Home button for an additional 27secs.
You may see the screen go blank or not.
Plug the USB end into the computer with itunes open.
Your ipod will mount in recovery mode.
Restore it and Your all set.

if you need any further help let me know.
Good Luck

I pod can't sync with new computer

You need to turn off the auto-sync feature if you are going to use more than one iPod on the same PC. Coonect each device in turn to iTUnes, highlight the device, and select the "Manually Sync" item. Then you can have a shared library on the PC, and can drag the songs you want onto each individual iPod.
