I wanted an answer to this too. It was hard to find, but here we go.
Get hold of a torch, and look closely at the decorative surround at the bottom of the fire. There are two screws hidden in there, on each side! See below:
Unscrew these, and you can take the front off, and get at the bulbs.
For information, the fire takes two screw in bulbs, described as 240V – 60W E14 SES Clear Candle Lamps.
