I see lots of bitching going on over the problem of the P5A board's Alladin V chipset being incompatible with the Riva TNT AGP video chipset. Asus also puts out a Riva TNT based video card, the V3400TNT. So I'm wondering, does it have the same problem? Is anyone successfully using an Asus V3400TNT card on an Asus P5A ?

Dont you have any problems in Win95/98?! There seem to be many driver problems (after while the screen gets green, the symbols in the systray are replaced by a brown square, cursor in Word97 dissappears after a while and so on).
No, I dont think that this combination is working very well (yes, I tried ALL drivers (rev.driver all versions, asus drivers all versions)). If you want to play OpenGL games you have to manually slow down the 3d-acceleration or the games hang after minutes. Newer Biosversion are hardly to flash, because Win98 doesnt want to work after flashing the new bios. New bios version (1005.006, final 1005) are having problems even with clean Win98 installations. 3 out of four boot-trys are going to hang if you have enabled AGP Turbo. If this is enabled Opengl games wont work at all. Funny, right now there appeared two 12 cm large blue squares from left to right (nice feature ;-)). Sorry, Im afraid Im going to buy me a new video/mobo-combo.
Excuse me, I dont want to blame anybody (would it help??), but Im building computers since 10 years, but this crap has never happend to me. I thought the Riva128drivers were buggy (lost symbols-syndrome etc.) but these problems make it impossible to work with this devices.

No prob with it. It ran the same as the VIA chipset my cousin get. We both have a AMD K62 350. only that Incoming that is supplied together, seems unplayable. ( the words does not appear)
Other than that, no prob
