All the faults of the car dont need to be fixed all at once
you can stretch it out
idle control valve can be cleaned
the maf can be cleaned
air filter can be cleaned
replace spark plugs
disconnect battery terminals count to 5 then reconnect
see if the engine check light stays off
if the light comes back on
engine check light on means fault codes are stored in the ECU to be read
shop around for the cheapest place that can do a 10000 km service
and nothing more

Sounds like a classic example of cam timing which is different from ignition timing. It could be that one of the cams is a tooth out on the timing. It requires the front cambelt covers to be taken off to be checked.

the light is flashing to tell u that the engione has one or more engine cylinders misfiring, have the trouble codes tested to find out which cylinder(ws) is he problem.

if it shaking it could be suspension. tires bent axel and rim. but that wouldnt cause to lose power...
fuel air spark ratio isnt right. that is just what it sounds like.
ignition time could be off.
in proper fuel adjestment in the carb/ or if fuel injected..
