Question about Nokia 6650 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Sets off alarms

My 6650 (two minutes out of warranty) sets off store alarms when entering or exiting the buildings. I'm referring to those anti-shoplifting gateways at the entrances.

AT&T says, yes, they have heard of this but have no solution since my phone is past the 30 day warranty period.

Nokia USA was equally useless.

Lg tv 14s11ks(CRT) factory settings plz

To do a factory setting to LG brand TVs (for all models) you have to enter its service mode option. To enter its service mode option; you should have a special type remote control, called the Service remote control. It has a special button 'Instart button". You should press that button to enter its service mode. The normal remote control supplied with LG sets, won't have this special button. This remote control can be purchased from the LG service centers only; and in most cases, they will refuse to sell it to you, and will ask you to give your set for service to them. This is a business trick, done by LG. The only thing you can do is a hard reset. If you can't rectify the fault, be rady to give LG service center a good amount of money. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.
Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

I have a samsung model sgh-a877 and the touch screen isn't working right. How can I do a factory reset?

To reset the handset, to the factory default settings, follow the steps below:
  1. From the standby screen, press Menu
  2. Press Settings
  3. Press Reset Settings
  4. Press on any of the following to check their boxes:
    • All: Sound Profiles, Display & Light, Phone and Alarm settings will be returned to default values
    • Sound Profiles: Only sound profile settings will be returned to default values
    • Display and Light: Only display settings will be returned to default values
    • Phone: Only phone settings will be returned to default values
    • Alarms: Only alarm settings will be returned to default values
  5. Press Reset
  6. Enter the password default password is "0000", then press OK
  7. If prompted, Enter the password again to confirm then press OK
  8. Press Yes to Reset the handset's settings to the factory defaults
One note tho. if i'm not mistaken you will lose ALL data in the phone. if it's been unlocked you will have to unlock it again.
this is refered to as a hard reset. soft reset would be just to take the battery out for a few minutes. that way you would keep your data

My sony ericcson w890i alerts, alarms & ringtone stopped working!

Do a Master Reset on the phone which may help. To do this make sure anything stored onto your phone is stored to the SIM or Memory Card; i.e. phone contacts./messages/pictures. Go to Settings and under General scroll down to ‘Master Reset’ then reset all. It should switch itself off and reboot within a few minutes. Give it couple of days before you start using it.

P.S: This is problem shared by many w890i so if ur phone is in warranty, it would be a good idea to call them up.

Lg phone sets off alarms

there is nothing you can do to the phone that will make the stores alarms to stop going off. it is the sensors inside the alarm system of the store that causes it to go off.
