If the TV keeps blowing fuses, there most be a short somewhere. Most likely the power supply board itself somewhere. But take it to a repair shop to find out for sure. The sad part maybe that you'll have to pay over $100 for someone to look at it.

LG 42PC!R Plasma TV turns on and then green led blinking with no ppicture and sound !

Your problem is most likely a fried circuit board. I always connect my good electronic to a back up battery. but your problem might have been storm or surge related, I would take it to a repair center and get an estimate.

Philips 42pfl3704d/f7 No power at all

its definitely the fuse. you have to go to the phillips website and type in your model number to get the right fuse. I went thru 3 different fuses and they all blew right away. phillips website sells the right ones 5 bucks each. Get it here and it will save you trouble trust me.

If nothing happens no light or sound when you plug it in to the wall it is definitely the fuse. mine was a T8AH250VP. You have to be sure to get that exact fuse. every letter exactly like that. there are a lot of similar fuses that will blow the moment u plug it in.

Hope this helps took me a month to figure this out. I was going to buy powerbaords for no reason. fixed my 42 inch phillips for under 10 dollars. couldn't be happier. Also always run your tv threw a power ack. If you plug directly to the wall your fuse will blow frequently.

I changed the fuse in my flat screen tv with the recommended fuse and it blows out every time I plug in the tv. Can I go with a higher fuse volt and amp?

No. Of course not. There is some short circuited component/s in the main power regualtor board. Whithout replaceing it, inserting any more fuse might make more components to get faulty.

I have a 42 inch ILO Flat Screen TV that is only about 3 years old. I was watching it the other night and it just went dead on me. Any idea what happened and is it fixable?

sounds like an ic chip went out possibly a what is called a mosfet but can't be sure unless I saw it could always be a blown capacitor as well but not likely. I have a 42in philips lcd and it did the same thing I knew it was the power supply but when I looked at it there was no obvious problem after blowing a few fuses to isolate the problem by taking out all the ics and then putting them in one by one to see when the fuse blows i came to the conclusion that on ic the mosfet would blow the fuse i orderded the part online for like $7 including shipping replaced it and now everything is working like a charm. I live in oregon if for some reason you are as well I could always take a look at it for you.
