To solve this follow these instructions:
NOTE: After removing these registry keys and rebooting, it may be necessary to reinstall any CD or DVD recording application

  • SYSTEM
  • CurrentControlSet
  • Control

4) This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.

  • UpperFilters
  • LowerFilters
  • UpperFilters.bak
  • LowerFilters.bak
5) If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete

6) After deleting the keys, close the Registry Editor

7)uninstall the drivers for cd drive and dvd drive from device manager and then

7) Reboot your computer

Hello the fan of the northbridge of my MS 7125 does not rotate, and when i boot up it lock down on Loading screen

HI. This issue with the NB fan will be a direct result of fan failure. The actual fan motor assembly may be shorted or disabled. This fan should be replaced asap(make sure to check the fan connector for proper connection before replacing the NB fan). Now, concerning your halted boot screen; This will be a direct result of a failed or corrupted OS(Operating System). I would recommend to initiate a system restore by inserting the restoration CD/DVDROM that came with the CPU system, when purchased or delivered. This will totally reinstall the OS and correct all corrupted files that have been affected by this unfortunate virus/worm attack.

Due to the fact that your system will not boot up, you will need to insert the restoration CD/DVDROM into its respective ROM device and shutdown the unit for five minutes. Once the shutdown has occurred, simply, restart your unit and follow the restoration instructions on screen during the hard boot. It may be necessary to self initiate the restoration by booting from the actual ROM device, via f11 or f9 command upon boot screen.

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) -this message appear when i open my asus cd-rom

I would uninstall the cd rom and let windows reinstall it. I assume you have Xp on your system.
Go to control panel, system, device manager, look down the list for cd/dvd drive, highlight the asus and right click and left click on uninstall. You will see it disappear. Open your case and disconnect the drive. restart the pc. Afterit had finished loading shut it down. Reconnect the drive and windows should redetect and reinstall the driver. if the drive is not faulty all will be well, if not then I suspect the drive has had it.

I just installed a new power supply and now i get a message saying cd rom priority...no medium i then stat it up with my recovery disk it asks what language and that it will reboot the system to factory...

Installing a new power supply should not involve any recovery process. You may have corrupted the hard drive some how prior to the power supply going out. And, if it has taken a significant amount of time to process the recovery, the recovery partition in the hard drive may have been affected as well. You're probably going to need the actual recovery disc to reformat the hard drive - chances are the hard drive is just corrupted and is still good.

May be a bios problem

Sounds like it is a hard disk issue. Corrupted MBR. Or missing Boot Loader. Your partition must be Fat32 since Win98 won't recognize NTFS. Try running chkdsk if not successful than repartition and format. BIOS is OK since you stated it will install windows. Corrupted BIOS won't allow pc to load. From a win98 bootdisk choose not to load cd. From the dos prompt type FDISK /Status If more than 1 partition check active partition settings.
