When you configured your Symbol for the wireless internet connection did you input the WEP key or WPA key, whatever you are using to protect your wireless. Let me know exactly what procedures you went thru to set up.

Go to Start > Settings> Connections tab.

click on connections icon and select advanced tab.

Click on select networks.

Ensure that both drop down menus are set to my isp rather than my isp and my work network.

This should get you up on the web.

How to enable Motorola MC3190 to access internet through LAN

Do you have Wireless Fusion on your machine?
If so, Enable Radio-->Scan for your WLAN-->Connect with a profile. If all settings are correct, and still can't get it associated, try disabling 802.11d from Wireless Fusion Menu-->Options-->Regulatory-->uncheck 802.11d.

Mine works after disabling this. Hope it'll work for you

check in your router MAC security
if in your router MAC security is enabled then only those can connect whose MAC addresses are in allow list in router.

you can access your router with following link

for belkin router
http://192.168.2.1

type user name as "admin" and password as "admin" or blank or "password

then go to wireless advanced security then check MAC security if enabled then add your moto MAC in allow list.

Connect device to pc using active sync and check application>startup and windows>startup for a lnk file that runs your application. copy this file to your desktop and delete it from the device. reboot the device and the issue should be now sorted. afterwards, place back the file on the folder where you have found it so the device will go back to starting the app automatically.

http://www.symbol.com/ is who you should goto since it is a enterprise device. Not many people have the dev kits for these devices.

I only have experience with mc9000. I know when it refuses scan (or activate) is has to do with the software being used to communicate with the scanner itself. Re flashing the device usually fixes it.

Download active sync and you will not need drivers. It is recommended that you download version 4.5.

WILL I NEED INTERNET ACCESS

I can help you ...

Are you referring to the base kit for manufacturing floors ? What is the model number of your base?

I suspect when you say base you are actually referring to an access point. It would likely be model 5131 or (older)4131.

That access point can support many devices. Hence you need only one. Be careful to turn on WEP encryption (or TKIP) on the access point so you don't become the next TJmax!

Hope it helps.
