Question about Nvidia Computers & Internet

Video error-some games flicker between superfast and superslow

Defense Grid and Psychonauts suffer from this problem to the degree of unplayability (source games are unaffected). I'm not sure how to describe it other than the game will run extremely fast intermittently and then run very slowly the rest of the time, causing severe control and gameplay issues.
The only thing I have found that works to remedy it somewhat is to reinstall the graphics card driver, then restart. This fixes it for an hour or so, and then it (seemingly) arbitrarily goes back.
Please, help!

DirtyDozen's solution didn't do anything different than what had already been happening when I reinstalled the driver.

I would recommend to optimize your PC. Sometimes this problem occurs due to missing dll files or corrupt registry. Use a system utility tool like Reginout to fix this problem. After scanning download & install latest DirectX from microsoft website.

By connecting external display through hdmi port from my laptop, can i play demanding games!if yes then give some examples! specs....... compaq presario cq60 209TU, it has Intel(R) Graphic Media...

You wont be able to play a "demanding" game on any integrated graphics chip. While you may be able to start the game and load into it, it will be unplayable, or a painful experience at low resolution at best. I play World of warcraft, which isnt very taxing on a system, unless you put settings on ultra and high shadows. I can play it on my laptop with the same chipset that you have, but i am forced to play at the lowest resolution, and turn all settings to off/lowest, and it still only gives me 20ish frames per second. Ideally you would want to never dip below 30 to be playable As far as the HDMI port, that is just how the video signal is being sent after leaving the video card/chip. Even with the HDMI, your lack of dedicated graphics will be your limiting factor, and will not get any better by sending it through HDMI.

Problem With Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT

I have a similar card and experienced a similar problem on my AlienWare notebook.
Go to task manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del), select the "Processes" tab and look for "Rich Video.exe".
Select it and click "End Process".
Restart the game. If this works, the best thing to do is disable the service (Start > Run > Services.msc) or delete the startup registry (Start > Run > Regedit >> HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Run > Delete the RichVideo entry.)

You could try to find a new driver for your graphics card or even there may be a patch for your game available. That video card should be fine for that game though.

Blue screen (not OD) random video game crash

What I would do is do a clean run over to the videocard.

1. Reseat videocard in pc. (take out and put back in expansion slot)
2. Delete all drivers by doing this... device manager....properties....drivers....delete card from pc.
3. Redownload newest drivers.

If that doesnt work, try updating direct X from microsofts website. Just search Direct X update.
Hope this helps, if ya need more assistance on the issue just let me know.

Do you have the latest version of direct x installed? Direct x sometimes can cause problems with games using 3d acceleration, as some versions of direct x are not fully compatible with the video card and/or the video card drivers.
