    This is my first router. I've never had one. My default gateway is different from 192.168.0.1. I tried putting my gateway default into my browser, but it says "Failed to connect". They say it is a valid site, but it is unable to establish a connection.

  1. Click on Start and then Run
  2. Type "cmd" in the box (without the quotation marks) and press Enter.
  3. A small box should appear with a black background and white text. Type "ipconfig" (again, without the quotation marks) and press Enter.
  4. Now, some information will now be displayed. The line that you're looking for is the one labeled "Default Gateway". This is the IP address of your router and may be different from the 192.168.0.1 address to which you're accustomed. Note the IP of the Default Gateway, as you'll need that.
Now, you're ready to access your router. Open your web browser and type the IP of your Default Gateway into the address bar at the top. This should open a prompt for password. Enter your password for the router and a control panel will open for your use.

    Seems that I was a bit off track with the guide that I provided.. Take a look at this and let me know if it helps any. Go by the set of instructions toward the bottom of the page, as they are revised to ease the installation:

I am unable to access my blitzz bwp611 router. I have tried 192.168.1.254 and 192.168.0.1 to no avail. How can I gain access to this router?

The router should be accessible from the Default Gateway IP Address of your network. Examples I have found are like this:
http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Blitzz/BWA611/Command_and_Conquer_Red_Alert_Counterstrike.htm
you can check you default gateway by opening a command window (Start CMD, right click CMD on the Menu for Vista/7, Start, run cmd for XP) on the command line type IPCONFIG
This will give you your IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway IP address. Type the Default Gateway IP address in to you address line of the browser, you should get a sign in prompt. Unless you changed the default settings, the username and password should be left blank. That should give you access.

Is the the router No 191.168..1.1

Hi Thanks for your question
Default routers IP would be 192.168.1.1 although this may vary! To be sure you choose the right one you need to do this. Press
Start--->Run--->
In run box put "cmd" (without the quotation marks) This should open you a command prompt Put "ipconfig" and press enter. You will be showed your current ip configuration. The address that your after is the "default gateway" this will be your router IP. For more about routers and accessing settings please read this http://www.fixya.com/support/r4695161-change_wireless_network_password_forgott.
I hope this helps Good luck

I have problem setting up my wireless network and redirecting my wireless client to my local webpages before they can access to internet.   see this diagram below :...

you need to replace your modem with a router that is capable of running Network Address Translation. You are trying to route private IP's (192,168.x.x) over the public IP (internet) network.

Can't access the web

Hi,

Check LAN IP configuration properly, also check Gateway and DNS configuration.
Try to Ping your local host.
Start>Run>Cmd enter ipconfig/all and check your ip configuration.
Also check your server ip configuration.

Just remember to take your time and don't get nervous working on the computer. Please report back to the thread with the results of your work.

Regards;
Hassan

Hello,
You are going to go to the tcp/ip settings and enter a permanent ip address.
If you access the internet you could always use the ip address you are getting from dhcp, just go to start-run and type cmd then at the command prompt type ipconfig and copy the ip, subnet, gw and dns to the tcp/ip settings.
Thank you for choosing agadycom.
