Copying scenes to PC HDD in Panasonic videocam suite

I have a Panasonic SDRH40. At present only the initial movie clip filmed within a day can be copied onto the PC HDD. the subsequent film clips filmed on that day come out as scenes and cannot be copied into the PC HDD. If I try to do a drag and drop from the camera's HDD into the PC's HDD, no audio is available. Please assist. Thank you.

I have the videocam suite 2.0 for my new panasonic , add music?

NO, you need to re-master the Video, and then save as say in an MPEG4 format, then using a Movie making software, edit the "Movie" and "Add" the sound tracks etc. You could either save it to a Memory stick, or stream it to the PC, via, link, and save it. Then do as related above.

Can't save individual scenes as separate mpg files

Instead of using the camera suite... download your video from your camcorder directly to your PC in a folder (video's). there you will see each individual file (scene) that you took that day instead of one large scene. Then you can download/edit whatever scene you want into movie maker or just copy a sene right to a dvd

Panasonic sdr-h40 will not show any movies or pics on the sofware

Same problem as everyone that probably has one of these cameras and not the exact computer the software was designed to run on. I got NERO DVD burn software and am now able to see the camera hard drive and recognize my videos. I have Windows XP but as long as you get the right NERO software your troubles will probably be forgotten. After learning of doing it like this I'm really glad the Panasonic software didn't work because I'm sure I have a much better handle on how I want my videos burned to DVD.

NTSC to PAL

I am under the impression that your computer has a PAL video capture card. Being a laptop, it is probably built in to the mother board.

What your computer requires is an NTSC video capture card that can also handle audio as like the PAL one that is in the computer.

I would suggest you go out and get a USB type NTSC video/audio capture card. After loading the drivers and software for the new card, it should be able to accomplish your task.
