Same thing on my tv after replacing lamp. Lamp manufacturer advised me that after changing bulb, tv must be reset or tv will go into safety mode and will not turn on. To do this on my model WD-65734 you must hold reset button in with a pen or paperclip for about 10 secs. The LED will start blinking for a few mins. When itstops you need to unplug tv set for about 1 hour. After this the tv will be reset.

I have the WD 62627 model. the lamp light is on, when i power up the tv, it comes on for like 6 to 10 secs then it turns off. Does this mean I need a new Lamp?

I would say that it probably is a bad capacitor on the power supply board of the tv. What you want to look for is any round cylinders with the tops pushed up at all. The replacements are usually really cheap, it might also be the lamp, but usually when lamps go they go completely while a bad capacitor is known to cause intermittent problems that escalate into a tv only working for about 5-10 seconds.

Bulb is only 2 mo. old. i have sound but no picture. red light is on. tv shuts itself off

step 1. Try pressing reset button. step 2 if step 1 does not work. Remove front cover and lamp door press, defeat the safety switch with a screw to hold the lamp door switch in and check to see if the lamp turns on. If it turns on for up to 10 sec then turns off replace thermal fuse.

Samsung tv is shutting off all the time.

Do you have enough air flow to cool it?
It may be overheating....add a fan blowing into it and see if that keeps it on.If it does put a strong small computer fan in somewhere to keep it cool.

Mitsubishi WD-62827---PICTURE TURNS GREEN

I had the same problem. I deducted that if my TV worked fine for an hour or so and then the colors became bad (green, people's faces purple...), it must be a overheating problem. Simple logic, right? So, I picked up a few tools and a small vaccum and went to work.
I went first for the main source of heat: The lamp. Just a few screws, and I removed it. The lamp cage has a fine screen to prevent the dust to cover the lamp. Mine was covered with dust! And the fan behind the lamp was also covered with dust! Bingo!!! That's my problem! I cleaned everything and vaccumed all the air vents on the the back of the TV. I put the lamp back and checked that the fan was working. The TV works like new since!
Before you are out of a TV for days and spend an arm and a leg for a "Technician" to fix it (replacing expensive parts that didn't need to be replaced in the first place), try what I described above first. It's very simple and it takes only 15 minutes.
Since my TV is 2 1/2 years old, I purchased a replacement lamp. I know that one of these days it will burn out. I'll be ready and my TV will be working again in 15 minutes!
Since my problem was solved, I didn't go to the next step. There must be one or two other cooling fans inside the TV, but they must be working...
Good luck,

Joepa,
Not likely to be the ballast... Let's throw this in for help, from the Mits ASC site:
Shuts Down With Red Lamp LED
1. Unit powers on and works properly for a while then shuts off with a red lamp LED (lamp error). Suspect bad lamp part # 915P020010 2. Lamp enable line at J14 pin 6 does not switch to 5 volts after turn on, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977020 3. At power on the lamp turns on and off three times and then the unit shuts down with a red lamp LED (lamp error). Replace the Light Engine part # 939P977020 4. Check for 12-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 4 on the Engine Driver PCB, if missing check for an open F9A09 on the Power PCB, if it is open replace F9A09 part # 283P127060 and the Light Engine part # 939P977020 5. Lamp enable line at connector J14 pin 6 on the Engine Driver PCB switches to 5 volts after turn on but does not go back to 0-volts (low) after 5 seconds, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977020 6. Check for 5-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 1 and 2 on the Engine Driver PCB if low or missing check C9A37 and C9A38 both 3300 UFD 10 V part # 181P732040 on the Power PCB part # 934C148001 From the noise you described it could also be that the color wheel is failing. Fans and the color wheel can cause shutdown. And if any of this sounds too complicated it's time to bite the bullet and take it into the shop. Find a reputable shop and one that will give you a written estimate before proceeding. If you ned help locating one try the NESDA locator: http://www.nesda.com/locator/state_search.php Hope this helps. Bill

Shutting off and on...

the problem may be due to dry soldering in the power supply stage if it was with the lamp there would be red or green light showing the presence of the power to the tv after making it own some of the components get hot and it will make the the soldering point conectionless and after some time the heat sink get cooled and the soldering point gets connected and u will see the picture again it is a simple problem if u have a soldering iron u make it hot and re solder all the components in the first part of the circuit board and the problem if rectified
