Question about Maytag Neptune FAV6800AW Top Load Washer
I have a Maytag Neptune front loading washer that leaks in the front right corner. I noticed a hole in the flange around the tub and I'm not sure if this is where the water is coming from or not. It seems leak worse when there are less clothes in the washer. Maytag wants to send someone out, but wants to charge me $80 for the trip. Help! Is this a major or minor problem? I have looked under the machine while it is running and a slow drip is in that front right corner. Anyone know the answer? I have a Neptune top loader and it is about 5 years old. Last night the water kept running out and all over the floor by the time we noticed. It had to be leaking for 10 minutes, quite a large amount of water, maybe 40 gallons. I turned it off and opened the lid. The machine was full of water. Water appeared to be coming out at the rear bottom. I took the machine apart and found a few pennies in the water outlet port. The pennies look like they were in there for a long time. Any chance they just got positioned right and clogged the water exit? Still waiting to put it back together.....
This is joyce
This sounds like a center seal kit, they run around $80.00 they are complecated to install so I would suggest getting someone to install for you.
