Panasonic NV-GS60 Driver

I am trying to connect my recently bought NV-GS60 camcorder via the firewire, however Vista will detect new hardware, begin to install but is not finding the drivers. the camera did not come with drivers CD. Is there anywhere from where I can get Vista drivers for this model? I have the same problem, with a Panasonic AG DVC30 Proline Camcorder
AND a JVC 700X.

Vista Laptop loads driver automatically

64bit workstation searches and cannot find drivers. No drivers at Panasonic.

What's up

I have a Panasonic AG DVC30 Proline Camcorder. When connected to a Dell Inspiron with Vista, the load hardware occurs automatically.

However, when connected to a Dell 64 bit workstation with Vista, It says it needs the Panasonic Drivers. Also, when plugged in to the 1394a the Device is recognized as a Panasonic (Null) asks for disk with drivers, there is no disk.

Checked the Panasonic Website, can't find anything.

How are you connecting it? Plug it in and turn it on before you turn on the computer. The camcorders that dont come with disks usually have there own built in.

here is a direct link to product support for your cameras, they fall under the bussiness category which is why they dont show up when searching for them.

Fill out the request form and they should give you an asnwer.

this is also the support desk where they have some downloads that you may find helpfull later on.

The 64 bit is probably the issue. It's the number of segments in 1 byte of information. If you've had success on other computers, they were most likely 32 bit.

That was My Bad. Sorry. Just talked to Panasonic and they told me that they have Discontinued that Drives Because it is not Needed to Sync with your PC. Try using Windows Movie Maker with the FireWire Cable.

Hey

the issue is probably the 64bit vista requiring signed tested drivers, do you have a 32bit vista or xp computer to try the camcorder on?

The problem with 64bit is that the drivers are made for normal 32bit systems, 64bit is not the standard yet. The 32bit drivers will not work with the 64bit system at all. as it requires spesific drivers that are written for 64bit and tested - signed at microsoft.

Seems like your stuck using this camcorder on a 32bit system untill panasonic makes 64bit drivers for it.

Connect to laptop using vista ultimate and firewire

I checked on Panasonics USA support website and neither of these two model numbers appear.

Here is the link to the support page:

There is a phone number to Panasonic support on this page as well as the international link if they were purchased outside the US.

Panasonic video camera

The NV-GS27 came out in Spring 2006, and the NV-GS60 came out in Spring 2007.

The latest entry level MiniDV Camcorder from Panasonic is the PV-GS90 - it may not yet be available in all areas.

The NV-GS60 is not the latest model.

PC wont see my Panasonic NV-DS50

Generally when you connect the camera via USB Windows XP and Vista activate native drivers and the camera becomes visible under "My Computer" (XP) or "Computer" (Vista) as a removable drive. However, probably will not be visible by capture software. In that case you would need to use a DV interface cable otherwise known as firewire and have the camcorder in playback mode.
