Question about Hunter 21617 Palermo Brushed Nickel Ceiling Fan
Just talked to Hunter after much difficulty getting a proper phone number for them. After describing the problem with my Hunter Palermo model # 21617, they told me they have had to upgrade that fan & it requires a new remote & receiver, for the tidy sum of $45.01, which is out of the consumer's pocket. This should solve all the problems people have been having with this fan not working, coming off & on when it wants to, not dimming, etc. In other words, the fan has been faulty since its' inception & the company should have had to correct it at their expense. Now, I have to get someone to install the new receiver, which will cost additional money. It looked like a great fan, made by a company with a good reputation, but this is very disappointing news from a company I had always thought stood behind their products. If youl have problems with a Hunter fan, let me be the first to give you the real number for reaching them. It is: 1-888-830-1326. They do not list an email contact for them or a phone number on their website. Hope this is helpful information.
The solution is posted in my initial problem. You must contact Hunter & replace the receiver & remote, at your expense.
