Screen doesn't work when taking pictures

When I'm viewing things in picture or video mode the screen goes crazy with lines that extend across the screen and run up and down. when I switch it to view pictures that have been taken the screen works just fine. I left my camera in the trunk of my car and it was pretty cold. I brought it and it started having this problem. I figured maybe it needed to warm up. so i put it on the charger and when I checked it it let me take some pictures just fine so I thought I was in the clear but the same problem has started back up after taking a couple pictures.

The pictures zoom beyond screen hence cutting some words/pictures when on video input mode, otherwise it is ok with tv mode!

Check to see if you are on wide zoom mode in that input and check the definition. Go to your menu screen and check your video menu. There are different options for viewing. My inlaws prfer the words cut off it drives me crazy. Hope that helps
