Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Offhand, your described problem almost always indicate a cold solder in the 5 VDC supply of the controller module. While this is repairable by re-application heat on the solder joint with a soldering iron. In some instances, this could also be a leaky/faulty capacitor again in the 5VDC/power supply section.

Pls post back if you are considering a DIY (do-it-yourself). Requirements would be familiarity with electronic components & circuitry, a soldering iron and preferably a DVM/VOM. You can also try looking for a tech sheet at the bottom/kick panel which include a wiring diagram.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

If your washer doesn't seem to work at all, check these:

No power
Lid switch
No power Check to see whether power is getting to the washing machine. Is it plugged in? Has a fuse blown or is a circuit breaker tripped?

Lid switch If the lid switch is defective, your washer can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washer to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

Some machines have a special lid-switch fuse near the lid switch, inside the control panel. If this fuse blows, the unit won't fill with water until you replace the fuse.

check for 110v at p7 pin 2 to nuetual p5 of the machine control board when calling for cold water, if its missing replace the board if present is wiring to the valve.or may be you will have to replace the whole control board if major fault on the board.

My washing machine shows UE errors

The UE Error Code indicates that the laundry load is unbalanced. Just redistribute the load and when you shut the lid it should start to re-spin again. On some machine you have to push the start button.

When I turn my Samsung VRT front loader on, the hourglass will not go off and washer start.

I am having the same issue as well i.e i can set the cycle but the washer wont start (the hourglass Icon remains lit). If i press the off button. The display shows off but the display doesnt shut down. Thought this might a control board issue. Bought one off of ebay & replaced it. Did not make any difference (p.s the machine is outside of US so calling service is not an option).

Have a kenmore front load washer and shows pau 45 in the display. Whatever button i press shows err cannot do anything with the machine.

LOC means it thinks the control panel is locked.
This gives the ERR indication when you push the buttons.
To unlock it you need to hold down the Options and Select buttons together until it reacts.

There is likely a short on the ECU and it must be replaced. Further testing should be conducted by a professional in this case.

Pushing Start Button only results in "Beep, beep, beep"

Need to check that the lid is shut properly and the door is locking. You don't mention an error code in the display. Make sure there isn't one showing.

Washer won't start

First of all, does the washer make a distinctive "click" when you push the START button? This is an indication that your door latch is locking (or at least making an attempt to lock). Normally, however, the display would have an "fdl" fault code indicating a door lock failure if it were bad. I have seen the latch go bad and not register a fault code, though. You can perform this simple diagnostic test to see if any fault codes register: 1. Select DRAIN/SPIN 2. Under SPIN SPEED select NO SPIN 3. Then, under OPTIONS push the PREWASH button 4 times. You should hear the door latch click then "C00" will show on the display. The washer will begin a series of tests (C01...C05 - depending on options and model) by testing the hot and cold fill valves, the various dispenser compartments, followed by tumble, drain and spin. If there is something wrong the diagnostic test will abort and a fault code will be displayed. The washer usually beeps when it displays a fault code. If you attempt to perform the diagnostic and the display momentarily flashes after you press the PREWASH button the fourth time and goes out, this can also be a symptom of bad door latch. You need to perform these simple steps first in order to further diagnose. Let me know what you come up with.
