Question about Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 (890552602964) Motherboard
I updated my bios from version F4 to F9 (new CPU) - bios from official gigabyte website, I did it strongly according to Userś manual, but after restarting PC there is no starting of POST, only black screen without any message, and continuous long beeps. I tried to reflash the bios from DOS boot floppy and from DOS boot CD disc, but no booting is possible. Is any possibility to repair the both bios?
Sorry bud, when you flashed the BIOS it obviously did not like it..Nine long continuous beeps is ROM BIOS checksum error. Another words you need a new CMOS chip as you cannot backdate a flash BIOS. You can't boot from any disk because the boot process never even gets to the part where you can use your system. BIOS is first when you start up and if you can't get by it then nothing will work. The only advice is use this as a good learning experience and make a backup of your BIOS in the future. Good luck..don't shoot the messenger. Please rate this solution before you log out.
