I tried to remove a song from my player, and now it is completely frozen on the song. I can't even turn the Zen off. It's just locked onto this one song.

One or more songs have a problem with their ID tags. Back up your songs before continuing. Remove all songs and it will should be back to normal. Add songs individually to find the bad song or songs and avoid that one.
while it is off slide down the power thing while holding play and resseting it with a safety pin, paperclip, staple, etc., this should bring you to the zen format screen thing, select "clean up" this should fix the problem and still save all of your files, if this doesn't work try the other options from the zen format screen.
Try removing the batteries to force it to shut down. Wait about 30 seconds, then put the battery back in. This will force the Sansa to restart, after which it should work.
Did you figure it out? I have the same message on mine and nothing I do fixes it... my laptop won't even recognize the usb device so I can't look into reformatting the player.... if you figure it out let me know.
