Question about Panasonic PT-LB10VU Multimedia Projector

Projector lamp doesn't come on

I have Panasonic LCD PT LB10U projector. At first the lamp LED is green, then it flashes, then it turns red, and the red lamp LED comes on and flashes. The lamp itself does not come on.

I bought a new lamp, which didn't change the symptoms. Then I bought and installed a new ballast. The symptoms are the same.

I measured the resistance across both lamps, they both read open on the ohm meter. Does this indicate the new lamp is also bad? Or is it a gas lamp that only conducts when a high voltage is applied?

The controller seems to work. Is there anything else that would cause the lamp to not come on?

I got a solution tip to record the number of light flashes. Just don't know where to do it to get more info.

Green light flashes 68 times, stops flashing a second, then flashes 68 more times, stops, then flashes 4, and the red lamp indicator light begins flashing indefinitely.

If this is a mercury lamp, you cannot test it with a multimeter. If this instead is a filament lamp and has no continuity, then must be replaced.

All the other symptoms let think this is just a blown lamp.

How to do lamp reset on panasonic pt-lb50u projector.

To reset the lamp hours, turn on the projector. Then press Menu and use the Up/Down arrows to highlight Options. Press Enter then highlight Lamp Runtime. Press and hold Enter for 3+ seconds until the Lamp Runtime screen is displays. Press the Power button (any other button cancels the reset). When the Power button LED turns red, unplug the power cord to the projector. You can either use the remote or the controls on the projector. Reconnect the power cord after a few minutes.

The reset instructions are on page 62 of the user manual. The manual is available from Panasonic here: https://support.panasonic.co.nz/docstore/PT-LB50U%20Operating%20Instructions.pdf .

I hope this helps.

As all the posts on here I have the same problem. My panasonic pt-lb10u turns on, green light flashes, fan comes on. Then the green light turns red and the red lamp indicator light comes on. No light emits...

Hi,

If your projector won't fire up then you can't reset the lamp counter so that is not the problem.

The combination of LEDs you have given does not correspond to an error message. There should be two LEDs, one of which is the Lamp Indicator, and the other is the Temp Indicator.

It's possible that an overheating problem has caused this. Make sure the projector is in an area where the temprature is between 0 °C (32 °F) and 40 °C (104 °F) and the humidity is between 20% and 80% (with no condensation). It shopuld have unobstructed air flow around it.

Disconnect the power. Remove the lamp and place it aside. Clean the air filters, using a hoover, being careful not to damage the filter which is located on the underside at the front of the projector under a flap.

Carefully reinstall the lamp (when you say you replaced the lamp, did you buy a new PANASONIC lamp from a reputable source?) Try to fire up the projector. Note down any combination of LEDs if the projector doesn't work and post hem back here.

After a few seconds the lamp light began to blink red, its a panasonic pt-lb10svu, show no pic at all has a new lamp

Hi, Replacing the lamp in a Sharp LCD projector requires the lamp indicator to be reset. When the lamp needs to be replaced, the indicator becomes red. Resetting the counter for the lamp hours to zero will also reset the indicator to green.
  • Attach the power cord to the projector and plug it into an electrical outlet.
  • Step 2Locate the buttons on the top of the projector and simultaneously hold down the "Enter", "Menu" and "down arrow" buttons, then press the "Standby/On" button.
  • Step 3Continue holding all four buttons depressed until the lamp indicator light begins flashing green. The counter is now reset. Zero hours will now be displayed on the screen.

PT-L735 U projectors. Green screen and stretched

The green is the result of the blue device failing. Happens about 4000 hours or so. LCDs can't handle the heat. Check the scaling of the image of the second projector. 16x9 vs 4x3.

    good luck

Panasonic PTAE 900U with new lamp and counter reset shut off

Reseat the lamp.  I had a similar problem.  Replaced the lamp and everything worked for about 3 hours.  Then, turned the projector off.  Next morning, when I turned it on, nothing.  Stanby/On light flashed green for a minute then the lamp light came on and the projector went into standby.
