Question about Kenmore 24032\24036 Top Load Washer
There are two plastic covers you need to remove to get to the two screws that hold the console. while facing the machine, at the top right of the console lift up and toward you on the plastic cover. it pops off rather easy. then look at the bottom right of the console where the cover was, you should see a phillips head screw, remove it. then repeat for the left side. the console will slide toward you about a 1/4 of an inch. then lift up and tilt the console back. there are two plastic strips that act like hinges to let you lay the console over the back. Now look at the top of the washer cabinet and you will see a spring clip on the right and one on the left. they pop out with a screw driver. stick the screw driver in the slot in the cabinet near the end of the clip closest you. hold the screwdriver vertical and push the handle toward the back. the shank of the scrdvr will push back on the hump in the clip.

This is joyce
Try to take back off machine and you can get to it that way. their are some clamps that have to be removed on the side of the timer that hold it to the machine for vibration reasons. if this does not help please let me know.
