The unit was running a finish spin cycle when the load became unbalanced. we opened the lid, adjusted the for balance and closed the lid. Nothing. we checked the control dial and even reset to spin again, closed the lid, Nothing. I checked power, the power plug. we check the lid switch when closed. I removed back plate and tested for power, i was getting power to ground. We tried to start over by resetting the control dial to run a new load and tried with all temp settings, Nothing. No water flow. it acts dead. Could the unbalanced load cause this? Is this a lid switch problem? Is the control dial bad?
Please Help. Thanks in advance.
A small run of these actually had an out of balance switch and fuse assembly that cut power to the machine if it went way out of balance ,check and see if yours has one and replace the fuse at first but you may have to replace the entire assembly

Turn power on. Without selecting a cycle, push the spin speed button to select the spin speed you desire. (if you had an unbalanced load, I'd suggest a low spin speed. You can repeat after with the next higher speed if desired) Push start.
This will give about a 12 to 14 minute pump and spin only cycle.
error code indicates that an unbalanced load is detected. if
the load is unbalanced, the washer will display this code while attempting to
balance the load at the end of the wash cycle and before the final spin. If the
code remains and the wash cycle dial is flashing after the recovery routine has
stopped, open lid and redistribute the load. Close lid and press Start/Pause. If
the washer is not level, the washer may be more sensitive to
unbalanced loads. The washer must be level from side to side and from front to
back. The front and rear feet must be in firm contact with the
floor. Make sure the locknuts are tightened. If
Power/Cancel or Pause/Cancel does not work Unplug the washer or disconnect the power for
one minute. Plug
in the washer or reconnect the power. Re-select
the cycle and press Start/Pause.
The "uL" message stands for "unbalanced load." Open the lid to the washer and redistribute the load if the "uL" display appears on the appliance.Redistributing the load should correct any imbalances in the washer and allow the washer to turn freely. Close the lid and press "Start" to restart the washer.
I believe this model has a defective control board under the control panel. The new control board has longer times between the drain and the spin. Eliminating the unbalance when it tries to spin with water still left in it. Also check for slow drain this will enhance the problem. The control board is a warrany repair if covered.
I'm not a repair professional. I am just a 78 year man who has done his own washer repair for about 50 years. You might have a bad lid switch that keeps the washer from spinning. You might have an unbalanced load in the machine which makes the noise. The unbalanced load might also be the cause of not spinning.
more likely an itntermitent lid switch problem as the washer strats it's spin cycle the motion is causuning the lid switch to open making the washer think some one has opened the lid and it shuts down to be safe check the switch make sure it hasn't come loose and check the actuator on the lid sometimes a plastic piece near the front of the lid that goes into sort of a key hole Good Luck
a loud thumping noise during the spin cycle, the load of clothes has
probably gotten unbalanced. Open the lid, redistribute the clothes in
the washer, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.
Leep, open the hatch that the timer sits under. You will see the timer and actuator that the coin tray pushes to start the wash cycle. You can rotate this cam clockwise until it gets to it's home position, ususally right around the 12:00 position. Good luck
