Before trying to contact the 1-800-4myxbox, have you tried the following:

1. Do a wired connection to your modem or gateway.
2. Cancel any pending downloads.
3. Delete any partially completed downloads for the item you are attempting to download.
a. In the My Xbox area, select System Settings.
b. Select Memory and then select your storage device.
c. Navigate to the content type you are attempting to download and select it
d. Navigate to the Game or Video item you are attempting to download
e. Look for the item you are attempting to download in the list of items. If there item is listed, remove it by selecting the item and then selecting Delete (also try to delete any games that has a yellow triangle with an exclamation inside it)
4. Clear Cache
a. Locate the System section of the Xbox 360 Dashboard.
b. Select Memory, and then press the Y button to view the device options screen.
c. On the Xbox 360 Controller, press the following items in this sequence:
• X button
• X button
• Left bumper
• Right bumper
• Xbutton
• Xbutton
d. When you are prompted to confirm system maintenance, select Yes by pressing the A button.
e. It should go back to the Memory
5. In the My Xbox area, select your Xbox LIVE profile.
6. Select Manage Account.
7. Navigate to Download History and press A.
8. To attempt to redownload content, select the item and press A.
9. Select Download Again.

That should do the trick..

Hope it helps! Enjoy! :)

I purchased an xbox 360 arcade 2nd hand, then purchased a bunch of old games that don't work on this model. i then puchased a 250gb harddrive but am still not sure how to update the console to be able to...

Who exactly is "They"? By my understanding, the X-box 360 Arcade is NOT backwards compatible, meaning it cannot play original x-box games. The only one i know of that can is the X-Box 360 elite.

Now then, if you go online to the X-box live Marketplace, they have quite a few original x-box games available for download, but you have to pay for them :( These downloaded versions WILL work with the 360 Arcade

My xbox 360 died and i bought a 2nd hand one. I purchased many arcade games from xbox live and they are saved on the memory pack. i have transfered this over and no it keeps telling me to unlock the games!...

You have to recover your gamertag for these arcade games to be played again, it's like an anti - piracy feature of the Xbox 360System not to allow data transfer wihtout prior notice. On your new Xbox 360 System:

• press the xbox guide button
• if your are signed in to your profile, you have to sign out first
• after signing out, press the Xbox guide button again and select recover gamertag
• on the next page, confirm on the prompt and follow the onscreen prompt to recover your gamertag

This should allow you to manage and play your downloaded Xbox Live Arcade Games.

My son saved money and bought a Xbox 360 Arcade. He did not realize that he could not play his xbox games on his new system. Is there an upgrade to allow old xbox games to be played on on the xbox 360

Some game are compatible with the new xbox 360. They are called backwards compatible and you do need to flash upgrade the OS on the new xbox 360 system.

You need to go to the xbox website and go to support and download the flash update then burn it to disk and put it on the xbox to update the software. Again not all old games are compatible with the new xbox system. If your buying used games like I do make sure it says bc next to the title before buying them.
Here is the link to the upgrade

Red light blinking on front of xbox 360

How many red lights flashed? One, or three?

One means that your harddrive isn't seated correctly.
Three means that your console is more or less screwed, and needs to be repaired by Microsoft.

Old Harddrive New Xbox

You will not have any problems using the Hard drive on your new console. The only catch is any Live Arcade downloads will not work offline until you do the DRM transfer. Even though you are using the same Hard Drive the DRM is married to the original console. They have made it easy to transfer now. All you need is to be logged into XBOX Live and a computer that is on the internet. Just turn on your console, log it into XBOX Live, and use the computer to go to www.xbox.com/drm That will solve all of your problems.

Xbox 360

The Arcade model comes with no harddrive, no hdmi (for digital connection to an HDTV), and I beleive the controller is wired instead of wireless. If you are planning on just playing games then the arcade may be a good choice for you as it's cheaper but you may find yourself wanting a hard drive sooner than later. Without a hard drive you will not be able to purchase or rent movies and you will not be able to download game demos and Xbox Live Arcade games. To compensate Microsoft includes a disc with some of the greatest hits of XBox Live Arcade with the Arcade version. The Pro comes with a 20GB hard drive but still no HDMI. The Elite version has a 120GB hard drive and HDMI. For most people the Pro is the one to get. If you were to get the Arcade then purchase a hard drive later you will pay more than the price of the pro.
