There is a problem with windows itself. There is a corrupted file. You will need to back up all of your files that you want to save and reload windows or do a repair. By tapping F8 on the Acer when restarting will let you repair the windows installation.

Hi, i have a sony vaio vgn fw 140E and when i turn it on the sign vaio comes up but then the screen stays black and just has a line blinking, can u please help.

That blinking cursor signals that the BIOS can't load Windows - it's completely corrupted. You will have to reinstall it.

Loads to gray-blue screen and then stops

What you did is not at all wrong... it generally happens if any booting files in the operating system are missing... and it will be resolved when you re-install the operating system.

Relax, nothing happened. repairing with those discs will resolve your issue.

Wrong battery detected.

hmmm..interesting....you may need to download the system drivers, usually for bios or other utility programs. the compatibility issue with batteries, is based on the make/model being loaded into the listings from the sysadmin for your operating system.
