Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I have a grocery and harberdasery how do I use my XE a203 cash machine as a regular calculater instead of programming the items in it

Turn key to reg mode.
Type the price - NO decimal point e.g 1230
Press any of the buttons in the middle of the keyboard - if they have names on them, that will show on receipt. try to find one with no name.
Now type next price and press key in middle of keyboard again. Do this for each item.
Finish with the cash button to show total

Why doesn't the equal button work when I do additions and subtractions?

Your calculator is fine. It is an adding machine first, so it uses adding machine logic and you hit the star button to print the total on the tape. The equals sign is only used when multiplying and dividing.

Adding machine logic is as follows:

5+ total 5
3- total 2
7+ total 9
* print out total

Good luck,

Paul

How do i take off scientic mode just a regualer:

Press SHIFT [SETUP]. You can select FIX for fixed-decimal or NORM for normal display. For FIX the calculator will prompt for the number of digits. NORM gives you two choices: 1 will display numbers of magnitude less than 10E-2 in scientific notation, 2 won't switch to scientific notation until the magnitude drops below 10E-9.

To calculate the natural logarithm of the value in the display, just press the LN button. If you need the common (base-10) logarithm, compute it as ln(x)/ln(10). That is, divide the natural logarithm of the value divided by the natural logarithm of ten.
