your television is displaying a blue screen or no signal message and
then turning off, your TV may be at an inactive input. Here's how you
can get back to watching your TV: 1. Powering on your
TV and press the INPUT button on the VIZIO remote control repeatedly
until a picture re-appears. 2. If this does not work, try again but press the button slower this time.
Assumtions, but you should check: Make sure the cable/antenna is attached properly If you have a cable service, make sure it's active. On initial power up, use the menu to navigate to the input selection screen, and choose the correct option for your application. Also worth noting is that there is a second menu page where you select cable or antenna. Check that too.
if you can see TV's on screen menu pls attach another device, ie dvd player, make sure correct input is selected from tv settings menu and if you can watch the player than either your cable/satellite/etc does not have any signal, tv input has been changed or tv tuner could be damaged.
This is called the pop of death! If you call vizio they will ask you if you heard a pop, this is a common issue and unless your under warrenty your looking at 916$ to fix it. (assuming you have no sound! If you do its 430$ plus tax for parts and repair. You can buy a used one on ebay for that price!
I have the parts numbers if you want them!
Call vizio if you have had this system for under a yr the will fix it free!
As for me my 50 and 42 inch had this issue and well I am out of warrenty.. I hate vizio lol!
