To make your bar saop last longer, remove soap from all packaging and them AIR out in the linen closet, spare room etc. Discard the soap bar boxes in different trash containers in your home for a quick freshen-up.
Run it empty and if the problem persists then it is a plugged spray bar. If the problem goes away, try loading it so that the water is not hitting some item in front of the soap holder

Get a turkey baster or something like that and pull it all out of there...then flush the rinse-aid holder out with wateer a few times pulling the water and soap mixture out each time so that you dilute the soap...
Then run a few cycles empty with no other soap so that you get everything out of the holder...

My recommendation is to switch over to a tablet and merely put the tablet on the floor of the dishwasher bypassing the soap holder all together. It should work just fine that way. good luck.
Inside the soap holder there is a small spring and sometimes that comes under causing it not to open during the wash. If that is fine and you are using liquid soap try pulling a cople glasses of hot water on the latch and give it good clean because it soemtimes gets jammed up. Anymore questions give me a shout.
