Question about Nokia N95 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

No display, Phone boots without video and with limited functions

My nokia n95 8gb bought in india powers on but without video. the screen flickers but doesn't light up at all(stays dark), the font and the display is inverted. also calls arent cming in or going now. they were initialy. add to this the fact that the menu if you look at the screen carefully(as it doesn't light up)loads up fine. i can even play sogs after trying a few shortcuts though it's difficult minus the display.

You can try a software update by downloading the Nokia Software Updater from the Nokia web site. Do this even if it is the same SW version.

*******MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP YOUR DATA 1ST ON PC SUITE*********

If this does'nt work then it is a mechanical problem. Will need to go into a service cnter to get repaired, Should be covered by the warranty, taking it back to the place of purchase

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Samsung laptop freezes and flickers

Freezing is probably caused by a virus or infection.

Try booting into safe mode, then download and install MalwareBytes and run a quick scan.

Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Take the Safe Mode With Networking option (this will give you internet connectivity) and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different to you, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, this is normal. Open your internet browser then download and install MalwareBytes and run a Quick Scan.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download and install malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. When the site opens up click on the Green Download button on the left. Do not click the Red Download button, that's junk. When it finishes installing the Gui Interface will open up with an offer to Accept a Trial Version or Decline. CLICK DECLINE you want the totally free version. Run a QUICK SCAN. As it scans, if it finds infections the number will be in red. When it finishes scanning, click SHOW RESULTS. A notepad text document will open up showing you the results. You can close the text document and go back to the Gui Interface where you will click REMOVE SELECTED RESULTS. The objects will already be selected for you. When it finishes removing the objects click ok and it will sometimes reboot your machine.

If you are talking about your screen flickering, the lcd screen might be going bad.

Plug in an external monitor and see if the display shows up on it. It can be any kind of monitor even the old big fat crt monitors as long as it has a vga cable to connect to your computer's vga port. If the video shows on the external monitor without flickering that proves your video card is ok, ,but your lcd screen is bad. The video will show on most systems when you reboot without you having to do anything. Some systems will require you to hit the FN (Function key) + F1 thru F12. Hold down the FN key then hit the correct key for displaying on the monitor (F1 thru F12). The correct key will normally have CRT/LCD on it or it will have the icon of a display.

If the external monitor flickers like your lcd screen then the video card inside the computer is bad.

How do i fix a flickering screen problem of my HP Compaq 6735s laptop

The flickering could be a sign that your lcd screen is going bad and needs to be replaced. It could also be the video card inside the computer. Isolate the problem by connecting another monitor to the laptop. Borrow a monitor from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker and connect it to the laptop. If the Borrowed monitor displays ok without flickering, then your video card inside the computer is good, but your lcd screen is bad. If the Borrowed monitor flickers like your lcd screen did, then your video card inside the computer is bad.

Plug in an external monitor and see if the display shows up on it. It can be any kind of monitor even the old big fat crt monitors as long as it has a vga cable to connect to your computer's vga port. If so that proves your video card is ok.

Try tapping the back of the lcd screen's lid to see if the flickering stops, increases or decreases. It might be that the lcd cable located at the top on the back of the lcd screen is loose.Isolate the problem by connecting another monitor to the computer. You'll have to take the lcd apart to get to the video cable on the back of it.

I have a nokia 6708 mobile. If i charged my mobile for long as long 5 - 6 hours. its shows battery is empty. can u help me whats a problum if battery is perfect. amit INDIA

sounds as if the memory in the battery has failed. I suggest you take it into the store where you bought it and ask to try one of their batteries from a display model. If your screen shows a power indication, you have your answer and you need to purchase a new battery.

Problem on the main display screen on my Nokia 6085

Sounds like a bad lcd flex cable, i fixed mine by ordering the part from an international parts carrier, but if you are not technically inclined to open up your phone and possibly destroy it, i would not recommend it.

Screen flickering problem in w830i

No, it is probably the fact that the phone is from so far away, it obviously was not made for use in the US so the signals emitted by cell towers here can affect that or the other thing is the phone may just be defective and it may need to be replaced but seeing as how you got in from India it doesn't look like that is going to happen. My suggestion: get a new phone, and quick before you wake up one day and your phone won't work at all. Hope I"ve helped, sorry your having so much trouble with this. Hope i've helped shed some "light" on your issue. :)
